Not reflective of Xbox One though because its a platform with quality content.

People generally dont argue that, instead they argue it has no exclusives due to sharing games with PC.

It's a legitimate concern though considering there are 125 million with 8.9 million concurrent users on steam back in 2015... And steam has continued to grow since then.
https://www.vg247.com/2015/02/24/steam-has-over-125-million-active-users-8-9m-concurrent-peak/

In-fact, Valve made a statement that they were adding roughly 1.5 million users per month.
https://www.polygon.com/2017/8/4/16095394/steam-users-count-2017-gaining-millions-per-month

There are literally hundreds of millions of PC gamers, Microsoft releasing all it's games on PC, means there are hundreds of millions of PC gamers which have zero incentive to buy an Xbox One...
PC does compete with console... And consoles need to appeal to PC gamers, their wallets are equally as valuable.

Two things...

While there may technically be hundreds of millions of PC gamers... Do they all have mahines that can run Xbox games well? Safe bet is no. Consoles are generally the cheap/simple way of playing modern games.

There is a significant audience not interested in gaming on PC, thats why consoles are still thriving. There is also a significant audience only gaming on PC. So I believe having MS games on PC and Xbox is actually a good idea because that increases profits and Xbox still has exclusive content in the console arena. So its possible Xbox is losing some sales sharing games with PC but it hasnt proven to be significant. But if it is significant, then MS must be profiting from their games selling on PC.

How was that? Obviously paraphrasing before you say you will dismiss everything cuz its not 100% accurate or some nonsense like that.

Remember when I said this? You are so easy is just laughable.

You dint even bother clicking the link did you? Did you even read any of it? How about the response already made when he replied? You dint did you?

But I will give you points on something, while everything the other guys said is still on topic, going from quality to quantity is just moving the goalpost. Something the green team are no strangers to.

Of course I clicked the link, how else would I be giggling about how wrong you were? Since you still seem utterly confused even after I broke it down in my last post (in about 1/10th the text it took you to as well, accuracy and efficiency ftw), let me try again. You posted a link to a guy replying to a guy who was replying to a guy, but you didn't go back deep enough.

This is actually where the relevant discussion begins, right here. You have someone saying Microsoft has provided no quality content. Now, notice in Zoom's post it doesn't say "hardly any quality content", it doesn't say "almost no quality content", it doesn't say "without providing quality content in 2017", it says Microsoft has provided zero quality content. So Puppy replies listing some uh, you know, quality content Microsoft has actually provided, proving him wrong.

The post you linked, mistakenly assuming it's where the exchange begins, is actually where the goal posts begin to be shifted, and where the irrelevant pissing contest console warz starts coming into play. What time span it took for those good games to come out, and what Nintendo did in one year, are entirely irrelevant. As is a Metacritic breakdown of 2017.

Please do reply if you're still hung up on any of this, you said you've followed the thread so closely yet are so far off, I really want to make sure you're all caught up buddy.

Also, lol @ green team. This is your brain on console warz.

So im wrong cuz In the link which you yourself posted, I had one extra quote. Basically I showed a 3 quote link showing the full start of the issue, but that one extra quote completely threw you off to the point where you could not follow what I was saying. Its like you dont hear yourself dude. Its really getting ridiculous at what you try to grasp. Again, when you are always on the defensive you are gona try to take anything and call a win.

And you did see in the previous post where I did agree with you that he did move the goal post? Yet you still claim I dint see it.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

I'm trying to help you here as you're clearly confused, not sure where this defensiveness is that you're going on about.

Next time try to actually read the thread you claim you're closely following before throwing nonsense around. No, I don't care if you said someone moved the goal posts, not when in the same post you're off base by a mile regarding why the conversation was happening in the first place. Hope that helps :)

Per usual, if you need any more help, just ask buddy.

Between the X and the $200 during Black Friday, it did well. It's a PSP/DS situation: no, Xbox isn't failing miserably. It's just stacked up against monsters.

Pretty good comparison and since there is almost no more piracy it already did a lot better when it comes to software then the PSP did.

Having a PC that is weaker than an Xbox One isn't going to make said users jump on the Xbox One console if said PC can run all their favorite games anyway, so that argument is disingenuous.

They might just go Playstation 4, Switch or simply upgrade their PC instead or remain content with what they already have.

Besides, If you have bothered to check the Steam statistics... The majority of Systems are superior to the Xbox One, the Xbox One is low-end hardware, it's old, slow and outdated.
It wasn't even that great when it was released, the added years hasn't done the hardware any favors.

And? Clearly they seem to be more interested in Xbox's competing platforms and the PC than the Xbox itself.
There are hundreds of millions of gamers on PC, there are hundreds of millions of gamers on mobile, the Playstation 4 is 70+ million hardware units sold, the Switch is selling like cocaine, clearly having all of the Xbox games on PC isn't doing Microsoft any favors in bringing gamers over to the Xbox platform.

Microsoft only profits from games it has published or games sold on the Windows Store.
The majority of games sold on the PC are in-fact sold on Steam, followed by GOG and Origin and probably uPlay.

Take Cuphead for instance, the bulk of it's PC sales were on Steam. - Microsoft didn't get a single cent from that as it didn't publish the game on Steam... And MIcrosoft doesn't get any cut from Valves 30% take on games sold on it's service.

Answer me this... As someone who owns a PC, why should I bother to turn my Xbox One X on? Why should I bother purchasing a game for the Xbox One X? I haven't actually turned my Xbox One X on in over like a month anyway, that is a real problem.

A game like PUBG I would rather buy on PC, on Steam where Microsoft doesn't get a single cent from that sale, where-as on the Xbox Microsoft see's something like a 30% cut and a customer that might buy more games in future.

It was exclusives that brought me over from the PC and buy the original Xbox in the first place... And it's the lack of exclusives that are turning me away from that console platform.

Don't worry you will have people call you out for stating something good about a brand that isn't for them. Good news for Xbox is always a bad thing apparently.
Anyway all 3 brands are doing good this gen, there isn't a WiiU/Dreamcast downfall with the current consoles.

And this is why I think MS will stick with XBox as a complementary platform to PC. They make the most money out of software anyways, and the way they have set things up now, they make money both on the console side and on PC.

As usual you make one argument and just fail to follow it up. I'm not sure if Steam has achieved hundreds of millions of active users and there are also many users with GPUs below X1 capabilities. Especially the average laptop GPU which is common in Steam stats.

I didnt say everybody considering a console would buy a X1. But evidently some do buy the X1.

You missed a major point entirely. People with powerful gaming PCs may not want a console. This is why its good MS has games on PC, additional sales from PC gamers.

I'm not sure what MS gets from Cuphead. They did fund the game for years and its exclusive to their platform. So its possible MS is getting money from that project, we dont really know. You just made an assumption they absolutely are not.

MS has numerous games on Steam and Windows Store, they make money from PC games. This is objective.

If you own a capable gaming PC then you arguably dont need a X1... Unless you wanna play a few exclusives that arent on PC. Halo games, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, are few that come to mind that are notable. Also, BC is pretty rad and generally performs better than an actual 360. X1 for example currently the best way to play Red Dead Redemption.

So again, X1 may lose some sales having their games on PC. But they also gain software sales from the large PC audience. I just noticed Quantum Break is kinda a sleeper hit on Steam. While Xbox games have made the Windows Store relevant and increased support.

The only thing solid about 2017 for Xbox was the major exclusives drought for two quarters.
