Amazing I read this thread title and instead of people celebrating this or not giving a shit. Most are defending how essential the feminist movement is these days. Also the US is not the entire Western world, he'll it isn't even a quarter of it.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

What problems do women have on a daily basis that is an ACTUAL problem in discrimination? The wage gap has been illegitimate for years now, so good luck with everything beyond that.

Next, go to Saudi Arabia and tell me how women have problems here. Go ahead, do it.

More logical fallacies.  Just because the problem is worse somewhere else doesn't negate the existence of the problem here.

I'll put it this way.  Women in the US say their is still a problem.  Men say there is not a problem.  So who should we listen to?  The group actually affected by the problem or the group that isn't?

You literally listed nothing of substance, more women are affected by undisclosed issues and I will never know because I'm a man. I'm not trying to be a condescending asshat, but you need to list an actual problem to warrant the feminist movement, that way we can fight it together. You cant just ignore the fact that there are no problems and cry out there is a major problem without explaining said problem.

Again, you need to list ACTUAL issues, no more walking around it.

Product advertised at Women cost more than the Man counterparts.

Its getting harder for Women to have an abortion.

Human trafficking.

Women are more likely to be raped than men.

You couldn't think of a better word than "Cancer"?

The top problem of importance for woman in the western world is the rise of single mothers and absent fathers encouraged by the welfare state. This determines a life of poverty and risk for most.

We know the statistics — that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison.

Would be nice if people could just have a conversation about something without having to push some agenda in an arrogant and/or condescending way.

I have a feeling that OP knew the thread would turn out this way and so he's farming reactions. So now the thread is going to have a long and pointless debate about feminism.

so?

whats your point

Interesting list, and I thank you for listing some.

As for issues, I would probably only strongly agree with the human trafficking. That sucks and should not be acceptable.

As for the rest, they're either eh to me or I disagree. Not all women support abortion, and men more so, I don't really think that is a fair point. The advertising one deals with the fact that companies have the say in price, and women tend to care more about appearance then men (as a guy I can say that, since I myself don't care about how I look half the time. Not ALL women feel the same, but more do than compared to men), and thus these companies can charge more for it. In 2008 men were more frequently raped than women according to the Justice Department(https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/cifamerica/2012/feb/21/us-more-men-raped-than-women), so there really is no ignoring that aspect. And for the last two, they are crimes, which suck, but there is little control from the other side. I get being against it and encouraging the victims to speak up, but their is no way to prevent the abusers from carrying their actions out. It sucks to say that, but evil people will find ways to be evil, and thus it's hard for them to be controlled.

Again, appreciate the list.
