GT won over games like Forza or Madden? Weird. Actually I see Madden wasn’t nominated.

I dug the orchestra. All the other awards shows do it. Sony did it at E3 2016 IIRC and it was awesome.

For me it’s even more. I was very content and in agreement with almost all winners..great show overall, only hindered by some annoying advertising and some weirdly hidden announcements of certain categories.

There were a lot of great new trailers and announcements as well. It was totally worth staying up until 5 in the morning. Tonight is gonna look similar I guess. (Playin Insomnia by Faithless in my head....)

Just WHY was there no best graphics award?! Horizon got robbed for sure! It would’ve deserved at least one award.

Persona 5 won best RPG..... wow! :D
Hopefully this gives it better legs sales wise.

All of these make sense. It was a good show.

Sucks for Guerilla Games HZD didn't secure a single accolade, great and successful game but out in one of the most stacked years in gaming.

Seems like some pretty reasonable choices for once. Not sure about Mario + Rabbids beating Total War, but judging by Metacritic, it's hard to argue too much.

The real winner here is Hellblade, which got a whopping four awards plus the best performance award. That's really good for a relatively unknown game from what I'm assuming to be a relatively small studio (at least on today's standards).

All out carnage has broken out on some social media groups as people are trolling HZD fans hard.

I really don't like how they skip over awards and just announce them in bulck or at the pre-show. Have some fucking decorum! Also they really need a bigger pool of judges than 51 games journalists. Include some Industry people as well, get writers, artists, directors etc. to vote.

Metroid won best handheld game and they just glossed over it, as well as Odyssey winning best Family game. It's not fair to any of the games that get skipped over like that, really, but those were the two that really stood out to me.
It's fine for Keighley, to be the one to present the smaller categories instead of getting a celebrity host, but at least give every category a small nominees reel.

Anyways I'm happy Senuas Sacrifice got reconized as much as it did, Melina Juergens was super cute on stage and the way Ninja Theory approaches development and what they did with this game is awesome.

The sexy Butale got robbed though. It wasn't even nominated in any category. I wish Pyre had garnered a few more nominations than the one it got as well, Superginat Games always turn out visually stunning games with a great score and sound design and unique gameplay mechanics. they always try something new.
