What exactly facts, number that you provided does not tells us how much better PS4 would sell this year if Switch wasn't on market.

Pro/Slim and more subtible games are point you making why PS4 had better Q4 last year compared to this year, but west last year also had Pro/Slim and mores subtible games than Japan, and PS4 one evre other mareket expect Japan is notcible up YOY compared to last year.

Hardly you can have data for something like that, but again that's common sense, imagine person wants to buy console like present to someone or for kid, and get in store and cant buy Switch because it's out of stock, there is good possibility that maybe he will buy than PS4 instead. I can use same your logic, gave me any data that proves that isnt true.

Yes its common sense that Nintendo is very popular in Japan, but its not common sense that every person owns Nintendo hardware in Japan, or that they are no new Nintendo users.

Hardly you can have data for something like that, can you give my any data that proves that isnt true!? Offcourse you cant.

About 4th, nothing you wrote make any sense and I didnt wrote that. Problem with you is that you generalizing, I never wrote that evreperson buy only one console, I never wrote that evre person who cant buy Switch will buy PS4 instead, but that some of them will do. Its same with your point that all Switch owners are only Nintendo fans and ex 3DS buyers.

Point is simple, PS4 is noticeable YOY up on every market in world except in Japan, where there is chanche that will not be YOU up or where difference will be very small in best case. Switch is incredible popular in Japan and has huge hype, so its not hard to imagine that Switch starting effecting on PS4 sales, because there are people in world that can buy only one console per year and especially during holiday season and that those people will choose between PS4 and Switch and some of them will want that new hot popular console not PS4. Consoles do effect on sales on each other, if you have only one console on market that console will definitely have better sales in any case without any competition.

Since we already have a new thread. It's best to continue our discussion here.

1st:
Currently up YTD.  PS4 managed to be up YOY when Switch sold 300K. Managed to beat Switch when Nintendo managed to bring more stocks.

2nd:
Can you name me games that are more suitable in Japan that was released from November up until this week? Please answer this don't dodge it. We already have so many replies to each other but you still dodge this question.

Please fill in the blanks
November 2016 (Fate Extella, SD Gundam, FFXV, COD, Dragonball Xenoverse, Atelier)
November 2017 ( I want you to place the games here)

West Q4 2017 ( COD, AssCreed, GTS, Shadow War, skyrim VR)
Japan Q4 2017(____________)

3rd
The funny thing here is you are telling us that Switch being sold out is having a positive effect on PS4 because they are choosing PS4 over Switch. XD

Last part ( I want you to answer this so I will post it in this part.)

So bottom line is the reason PS4 is down from last year because of Switch alone nothing else matters.
Whatever games that was released last year doesn't count.
Having a revision with games that will appeal Japanese crowd last year doesn't count.
Having no games for the Japanese crowd starting Nov. up until this week doesn't count.
PS4 being up YOY when Splatoon was released doesn't count.
PS4 being up when Switch launch doesn't count.
PS4 is up YTD doesn't count.
Sales trend or sales data of the PS4 doesn't count.
OK. I get you and your goal post and your cherry picking arguments. XD

5 out of the Top 10 is Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is up on previous titles and Switch is handily outselling everything else combined.

Dominating.

One could even say cannibalizing.

Another stellar week for the Switch!

Why'd you stop your beautiful combined charts?

  • Looks like ps4 cannibalized some switch sales this week.

If ps4 didn't increase to 30k+ first week of December I would have been really disappointed. Need a big week next week to give it a chance to be up YOY. Famitsu looks like it will be up easily though.

And ps4 set to break a mile stone next week on famitsu.  The mighty vita will be over taken. Many thought this day would never come but I knew it would.

    Thanks Trucks!

Nice to see PS4 up, above 30k even. Too bad it isn't even higher though.

    Oh, and how come Xbox's +24% isn't green coloured? Anti-Xbox bias? :O

    Damn! I am unmasked!

I think you really need to stop with this cannibalizing thing.
