I drove through an ice storm once to pick up a game. I can't quite remember what it was, but it sure wasn't worth it. I made it though.

was at hotel in a trip to Iowa.

Left to have lunch.

Elevators not working... so I used the emergency exit... it gone to the outside of the hotel... I found it strange, but entered the car.

As soon as I turned the radio on, there was a tornado alert, and when I arrived at Pizza Hut they were saying how close it was to hit Cedar Rapids... but it never got near me, but I was tense as fuck... we don't have this in Brazil.

I haven't really done very much to play any one game. Pre-ordering is probably the biggest thing.

We just need someone to go even further than him then! Got any ideas?

Yeah, we get so many tornado warnings around here I've taken them for granted. Chances are you'll never see one. An unfortunate few have not been so lucky though

Probably as a kid when I bought Pokemon Stadium 2, and a "Gameboy to N64 converter" thing that you put in the N64 controller in order to play Pokemon Crystal on the N64 (I didn't have a Gameboy) and transfer some Pokemon (Needed Stadium for that). Looking back, that was a lot of money for a kid just to play one game.

Still remember walking out of the gamestore with those things in my bag. Opening up that shiny Crystal gamebox on the bus ride home, and seeing the pretty transparent game cartridge. Good times.

There's something almost magical about Pokemon Crystal. It's like .. the least talked about Pokemon game and yet it's art and color look so beautifully vintage.

Also, you could play gameboy games on N64?!?!?! I knew that Pokemon Stadium allowed for Pokemon transfer, and I knew Gamecube had the Super Gameboy, but that's amazing!

Funniest story I ever heard was from a coworker.

One day they were home getting ready to sleep and the door ring... wife go to attend and it was some neighborhood watch or Police Officer. He said there were a Tornado nearby and for them to take shelter.

When the wife asks where the tornado was he pointed back and it was very near.

The entire reason I bought a PS1 was to play Final Fantasy VII. Prior to that, I had no interest in and minimal knowledge of the system. I was aware of the PlayStation, having read about it in EGM and GamePro, but I had no interest in this new console brand until I found out that Square was releasing the next Final Fantasy game exclusive for it. Fortunately the PS1 cost only $150 at the time, maybe $130 (can't remember the exact month I bought it). I ended up getting several more games for the system, though the N64 was by far my preferred system that generation.

First time I saw a PSX was at a friend house and I tought it was strange to have O, triangle and square on the controller... but the tekken that was being played was fantastic.

Also some friends played FF VII in Japanese without any guide... me loving FF story can't understand the point of playing without being able to understand anything.

Buying a Japanese GameCube to play Rogue Squadron 2.
It was worth every euro. Very good game. And still beautiful.

I bought a phillips CDi for 200, and all three CDi Zelda games for 600...so 800 bucks...

What can I say, canon or no, they exist and I had to play them all and have them in my collection...

It must just be a combination of the price and how horrible the games look but for some reason this one seems worse to me than the Smackdown blowjob  ...

Well, haven't gotten a console, but Amazon messed up my BoTW pre-order and it was not going to arrive for the weekend.
I called a bunch of stores asking if they had stock (they didn't have the WiiU version available) and only one did.
I jogged there.
