There seems to a problem with character encodings on users' walls. For example, I had a discussion with KiigelHeart on my wall, and while the original post is OK, the comments to it are not. Specifically, ä characters cause problems, and I bet a lot of other characters do too. It seems the site uses a different encoding for the original post and the comments posted as responses to the original comment. I'm having the problem on at least Firefox and Chrome, so it would seem unlikely it's just my problem. Oh, and comments seem fine when you post them, but once you reload the page, they're messed up. I think the bug should be fairly straightforward to locate using this info (seems like the comment-posting code is using different encoding from the rest of the site).

Yeah, that's what we mean when we say support for major languages. I guess it could have been worded a bit more specifically on our end!

OK, I'm going to stop posting here now. Apparently I can't search the list despite searching the list. Not sure I'd have understood that item on the list like it was meant anyway though.

It's fine.  It's good to bring these things up to help us clarify our list and make sure we're communicating it clearly.

I would have stopped posting anyway because I don't have anything else, but I will post any flaws I can't find on the list (probably due to my own incompetence, as today has shown) if I find any. I just was (and still am) quite embarrassed about reporting not one but two items that were already accounted for. I guess some of the wordings were unoptimal for finding certain things on the list though.

The way every item was centred was horrible for readibility and caused the eye to miss things.  I changed it to left align.

Come to think of it, centering did lower readability noticeably. Good change!

OK, good to know, so they have been considered. I was just wondering since I didn't see them in the Ideas table in the second post.

Keep up the good work guys. Site has been left abandoned for quite some time, so bringing it back up is a ordeal to take on!

Yup, +1 and Forum Categories are on Suggestions, Merge Threads is on the actual list I just forgot to add it as I intentionally left off a lot of the moderator specific fixes, I've re-added the ones that benefit the community now.

Understandable! Just thought we had to start again with the suggestions

Also just remembered, would be nice if the browser spell checker would work in the Rich Text Reply Format.
I have to check the text in the Edit HTML source for it to work.

EDIT: Would there be a possibility to clean/remove the style definitions (i.e. <span style="font-family: Calibri, &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">) from the HTML source?

So, you mean you'd like it to be more readable/digestable?

Not sure why copy/pasted text from the Rich Text Reply Format has its own style in HTML format, it should be the default one. It's sometimes hard to edit OPs, sigs or posts through HTML when all them style tags in the way. So having a way to revert to the default style would be nice, although I guess the rich text reply format just works like this.

PS: It seems like the spell checker is working again???

The game database. That was always my favorite feature back in the day.

Oh, I can assure you, Talon REALLY wants it back himself

Some of those old themes and designs bring back great memories. Glad that people are still dedicated to improving VGC.
