In Xenoblade Chronicles 2 you could go to an inn where you could decide to use your experience from quests or not. This was good because you could do as much side quests as you wanted without becoming overleveled. The original Xenoblade Chronicles didn’t have this but I hope the definitive edition does.

None of the previews of the game mentioned this so I’m worried that there are no inns.

This feature is not included.

I hate the character art. I'm never going to be a fan washed out cartoony look, the characters look kind of flat. At least not for this kind of game, it is more fitting in something like Story of Seasons. Still, it's better than Xenoblade Chronicles 2, IMO, where the main character looked like he was 6.

Rex is younger than Shulk anyway.

As much as I'm looking forward to playing Xenoblade Chronicles again that side by side comparison I still have some mixed feelings on the new art style It just makes me think how much more I prefer the Wii art style with more character facial expressions, better looking trees I'd even say I prefer the colouring/styles of the rocks on the Wii and the new art style has definitely removed some of the feeling from the game from what I've seen so far.

I think overall on the visual front after I've played through it I will be left thinking some stuff was greatly improved upon whilst others been a step backwards.

On an interview with Weekly Famitsu, Xenoblade Chronicles director Tetsuya Takahashi said that Future Connected will be 10-12 hours long for the main story and 20 hours if we go for all the side quests. He also shared a bit of information on some other aspects:

- Monolith Soft First Productions has been divided into three main teams: one that works on XC: Definitive Edition, one that is working on a new game and a third one that works on both.

- They have greatly improved character graphics (duh).

- Since the game it's a remaster, they could not re-record the entire soundtrack with an orchestra. Instead, they rearranged and improved the quality of the music tracks.

- Data compression and sound quality is improved over Xenoblade 2

Anybody know for sure if the Definitive Edition will have difficulty settings? Xenoblade Chronicles 2 introduced difficulty settings (though I played on Normal), which is a great option.
Xenoblade Chronicles took me about 200 hours to complete the main quest. I'm dead serious. I did some side quests, but that maybe was 20 hours at most. I spent a lot of time grinding because I never fully got the full extent of the combat system. I obviously learned some things and some useful strategies, but not enough. By contrast, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 took me about 70 hours to complete the main quest.
The $60 price tag is enough to discourage me from getting the Definitive Edition right now. But if there's no difficulty settings, that's a dealbreaker. I don't want to spend 150+ hours on a remake of a game I've already played when there are so many other games I can play. I need to get back to Xenoblade Chronicles X at some point as is. I haven't played that one in about a year-and-a-half, and only played about the first 4 hours.

Yeah I'd like to know as well. TBH I played through the main game on Wii several times and honestly I just want to experience the story again and breeze through so I hope I can just notch it down to easy.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

I still not decided whether I play XC: DE or XC: 2

I have Xeno 2 but just never bothered to play it

What do you guys think
