All correct. And yes, Alvis was the third core of the station's central processor.

I was just on the Xenoblade subbreddit and some made a great point about this

The revelation that Alvis is actually a blade, puts a lot into perspective the fact that in Xenoblade 1 no one else could of wield the Mondao and it almost killed Dunban and cost him the use of one of his arms. As was soon in this game not everyone could become a driver.

I didn’t really think about that, but that’s a good point. I think it’s better clear that Alvis is the 3rd Aegis, and the Monado was an Aegis blade all along. It also explains why Malos used the/a Monado when his powers returned. Kinda curious why Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma never had their blade referred to as a Monado, but Mythra’s ability is enough evidence for me to say the idea is the same.

Also kudos on thinking about important plot stuff during the credits. I was dead inside at that point. Playing “My Last Day with You” didn’t help either.

Also the names of the three Aegis cores: all three are ancient Greek words with theological meanings.

Ontos means "being" or "to be"; a suitable tag for Alvis, who existed as a neutral God of sorts.

Pneuma means "the vital spirit, soul, or creative force of a person", which again suits Pyra/Mythra's character.

Finally, Logos (Malos) has a number of meanings, but the most relevant in this case would probably be "logical argument". Born with immense destructive power and the anger at the world he inherited from Amalthus, Malos states that it seems only logical that his purpose was the destruction of the world.

I'm curious to see where the franchise will go next.

In a Xenoblade 3 I would love if they explain the events that lead up to Klaus destroying his original world. Since Xenoblade 2 while gives us a bit more context it does raise more questions about it then we had before.

I also get the feeling that we haven't seen the last of either Shulk or Rex (granted I wouldn't be surprised if Rex is added in the next Smash Bros) but with that voice cameo I just get the feeling that the stories for either of them aren't done yet.

Then of course there is X. We still have no idea if there are plans to continue the story in X, which still weird me out we didn't get a sequel to that instead since that is the only one of these three games to end on a not just a cliffhanger but a too be continued. Of course Takahashi has said he wants the game to be ported to the Switch, so maybe he does have interest in continuing the story he set up in X.

Then there is the artwork they posted a few months ago that could be concept art for their next game which I can easily see being a medieval Xenoblade.

Ontos is not alvis.

Alvis existed before the old universe where destroyed. He says he was an AI back then.

Ontos was created in the new universe by Klaus for keeping the blades in check. That's when Ontos disappeared.

So, Alvis existed before Ontos.

That's not what I got from it. He says he used the 3 cores of the Trinity Processor (Ontos/Logos/Pnuema) to manage the blades, but not that they were originally created for that purpose; after all, the Core Crystals also predate the Experiment.

Correct, the Trinity Processor existed before the experiment.  He even references it in the experiment scene.  It had three cores, hence the name.  He repurposed the processor for Blade managing.  You can even see the Trinity Processor in the experiment scene.

Alvis says that he is an administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility. Meaning he existed in the old universe.

Klaus said, after restoring the new world, that he implemented a final measurement: The blades. Ontos, Logos and Pneuma. The three cores of the trinity processor. Ontos triggered a space time transition event and was lost forever.

Meaning Klaus had no clue where he went. If Ontos went to the world of Zanza, he would be aware of it. It appears he is not. So, Ontos went to a complete different universe where I think will take place in X3. Otherwise mentioning it would have no purpose, at all.

If Ontos is Alvis, the architect could say it that he manages the world of Zanza and we can close the chapter for good. But as I see it, he left it a mystery for further story development.

I see where it could be confusing but he doesn't seem to be including "Logos/Ontos/Pneuma" under "The Blades".

It's not, "And so the blades were born: Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma. The 3 cores of the Trinity Processor formed their cornerstne."

But rather: "And so the blades were born. Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma, the three cores of the Trinity Processor formed their cornerstone."

Its a small difference but a significant one; he's grouping the three under "the three cores of the Trinity Processor" rather than "the Blades I created as a final measure." The Trinity Processor existed prior to the Experiment; he refers to it in the scene where he's preparing the Experiment:
