3DS Q1 2011: 0.71 million / 4.32 million
3DS Q2 2011: 2.36 million / 6.68 million (price cut in August)

Wii U Q4 2012: 3.06 million / 3.06 million (Nov.Dec launch)
Wii U Q1 2013: 0.39 million / 3.45 million
Wii U Q2 2013: 0.16 million / 3.61 million

Switch Q4 2016: 2.74 million / 2.74 million (March launch)
Switch Q1 2017: 1.96 million / 4.70 million
Switch Q2 2017: 2.93 million / 7.63 million

So, about 50% shipment increase for the Switch, that's pretty good

I'm sure it was the boost created by splatoon 2, and 3.61m in 2 months are BIG numbers.

That is really nice. I actually believe in my own 12 million for first year prediction now.

Well apart from parts of europe the Switch is getting sold pretty much as fast as they are coming into stock, so the boost is more in shipment than in titles pushing the sales, really. Splatoon 2 certainly helped, though, but the increased shipments where much more important.

And these shipments certainly got increased again already for Odyssey, considering how well both the game and the Switch sales are doing on Amazon worldwirde

Edit: I'll go out on a limb and predict 6M Switch sales for Q3 2017/2018

Would certainly be in 9 million if shipments to Japan and the USA were larger, still excellent numbers for a DOOMED console.

Far out, Splatoon 2 and Switch hardware well above my expectations!

So taking into account the Wii U version, Zelda should be over 6 million.

At this point, I think 12 million for its first year would be a huge disappointment.

Excellent numbers! I may go even as far as saying it's bound to outselling Wii U by the end of the year
