Dear folks in VGC it's time to see how Gran Turismo Sport will do sales wise.

Will it continue a downward trend seem from GT5 to GT6, will it plato or will it recover? Have the change in philosophy design and target, plus name change represented a good change or bad?

I'll start looking at 2M FW and 10M LT as very positive numbers GTS could do if Sony do a good marketing and bundles of it and the game regain good reception from fanbase.

It will be criticized in the beggining but with new content through free dlc it will attract more and more people.

I agree with a high long term prediction with 10+ million. I expect it to sell 3-4 by the end of the year and 6+ in Its first year for sure.

Personally i already know, i will love GT Sport because of the Onlinefocus, the beta was great. But the messaging/marketing from Sony/Polyphony is really messed up and obiously Gran Turismo was Singleplayer focused all the time and now we have a big change and most people seem to not like it.

As a big fan i would love to see it sell 10-15 Million like GT 1-5, but i doubt it. However i would say it will sell around 6-7 Million Lifetime, especially because i think this will be the only GT on PS4 !

But lets see how this one turns out, it will be interesting.

It will get mediocre scores due to a lack of content, which will hurt sales, but it's still GT, and it'll still be bundled as well, so it'll still get to 7.5m.

Games like Overwatch, PUBG showed us that competitive games can have massive success. If it becomes a serious e-sport game Sony has a phenomenom on their hands.

GT5 and GT6 had those weekly events that although SP in playing had MP ranking, besides the Academia competition and MP races.. but for me yes, GT was a SP experience, let's see how it will be on this new focus.
