Forums - General - About my Nintendo "hate."

You know, it'd also be nice if you commented on topics outside of your threads, instead of making a thread, responding to the posts in your thread, then not posting again for a little bit.

He's waiting to make a thread responding to all the posts in this thread

It amazes me that people, many of whom post on here, find talking shit about games, gaming related companies, or the fans of those things to be a worthwhile use of their time. I simply cannot wrap my head around it.

For the record, I am not replying directly to any comments on this thread, or the OP.

But you find that this comment of yours was a worthwhile use of your time?

Nah, probably not.  I guess I'm part of the problem.

I use the 5-minute rule

If I can type it in 5 minutes while doing something, then I'll post it. if not, then I say 'screw it' and ignore the response I desired to post

To be fair, I wouldn't want that wall of text cluttering up a different thread.

well as for the policies of nintnedo when it comes to LPs and streaming, blame japanese laws and not ninty. most japanese devs have the exact same policies, its just that only ninty is big enough to be a widespread issue.

as for the 3rd party policies of the 80's and 90's? thats mostly because they were entering the US video game market at a delicate time, when shovelware completely destroyed the industry.

as for continued support... really? how many SONY games have been on the ps3 after the ps4 came out? its mostly 3rd parties doing it using the huge userbase that already exists cause they don't feel like the extra power isn't needed. the vita? that support died literally after its first holiday. after that its nearly all indies. at least ninty TRIED to support the wii U 3 years into it despite it being a failure.

the two companies are fundimentally different. sony is a big, giant tech company that makes its own hardware and makes money via licencing games. nintendo makes money by making its own games.
