well as for the policies of nintnedo when it comes to LPs and streaming, blame japanese laws and not ninty. most japanese devs have the exact same policies, its just that only ninty is big enough to be a widespread issue.

as for the 3rd party policies of the 80's and 90's? thats mostly because they were entering the US video game market at a delicate time, when shovelware completely destroyed the industry.

 

as for continued support... really? how many SONY games have been on the ps3 after the ps4 came out? its mostly 3rd parties doing it using the huge userbase that already exists cause they don't feel like the extra power isn't needed. the vita? that support died literally after its first holiday. after that its nearly all indies. at least ninty TRIED to support the wii U 3 years into it despite it being a failure.

the two companies are fundimentally different. sony is a big, giant tech company that makes its own hardware and makes money via licencing games. nintendo makes money by making its own games.
