If they are reworking the game for Switch perhaps they can address some of the problems with the game.
That said this would be significant anyway, if they willing to make a Switch specific version and actually put effort into it, it would pretty much seal the deal on Final Fantasy VII Remake showing up on Switch at some point too IMO.
Heck, I would like the original Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX on Switch too ... those would be perfect to play on long plane trips.
Final Fantasy mainline entry returns to the cartridge format?!?! I knew the N64 cartridge was not the reason we didn't get FF 7!
Anyway if they do port the game and it does well we could get some ports of post Final Fantasy 6 games. Actually that is probably the main good thing about this news.
Also I am playing through the first six games right now so I wouldn't get this game day 1. Especially since I keep hearing this franchise gone downhill after 10.

Even at 720p, i don't think the Switch could run it at more than 15fps. I would be extremely surprised if they managed that.
The pocket edition enhanced sounds like a better bet.
Either way, the game is trash... so, it's no big loss. Pretty graphics is all it's got.
What ever it is, i can see it get announced on the next Nintendo Direct
Pocky Lover Boy!

I'm a Nintendo fan that owns FFXV on PS4.

I don't have any interest in FF15, but I'd like it to be on Switch because it would be beneficial for the Switch's sales, if only slightly. It's not a game that literally makes the console less appealing by its mere existence, like Knack.
Well, if the pocket edition is still the whole game, perhaps it could still be good.
Dance my pretties!
