I'm going to have to recommend Zelda as well. It is an experience unlike any other.

But you'll have to throw out your expectations based on previous games, because this game does not play like those. For example, the emphasis is no longer on big dungeon completions with bosses at the end. Bosses are scattered mostly through the world, and are defeated to gain resources/strong weapons. But the less you know, and the less conventions you expect, the more enjoyable the experience will be; and I mean this not as a perscription of how to enjoy the game, I mean you will enjoy it no matter what, but follow what I suggest and the sky's the limit.

It is seriously one of those rare extremely standout games that seems to come only once or twice a decade. I think the chance is high that it will be the game of the generation. High in a similar way that it was for Ocarina of Time and Super Mario Bros 3 in their own times. Although, you never know, Link to the Past was a shoe in for that in the SNES era, but then Donkey Kong Country and Chrono Trigger popped up years later (Terranigma wasn't big enough, and I don't think it even came out in some countries).

Yea, I'm really looking forward to getting it, this would be my first open world game ever.

I'm jealous.

Why? Is it hard to get or something?

EOV is so far released only in Japan.

Haha, ok then. If SMT is like either Devil Survivor or EO then I'm probably down for that game. The previous titles aren't necessary to enjoy the series right? Do the SMT games share more than just game mechanics (if even that), for example the lore?

No, each game are always self-contained story on their own. Except in the case of SMT II which is a sequel to the first game neutral path and SMT IV Apocalypse which is a ''what if'' scenario to SMT IV Neutral Path.

SMT V will be a new start. In fact, the only detail that maintains all these games into the lore(SMT,Persona,DS,etc ...) is the Amala Network mentionned in SMT III Nocturne.

But if you're really interested in the lore, you should probably watch some timeline theory stuff on the Internet.

The combat is using a Press-Turn system, unique to mainline games since SMT III Nocturne.

Great! I'll check out those videos when we get first details on SMT V.
