Sounds like you have taste.
Why do people like Uncharted? The "platforming" makes me feel like I don't even need to be in the room. Does it get better?
It may be possible that those games are not for you, or have slow starts to them.

I tried Doom when it was free on PSN. Not a fan. I have no real objections to the game other than the shitty ear grating music. Funny because I liked the original Doom and Wolfenstein. Pretty game but just was meh about it otherwise.
You might judge games "too quickly" but I can't blame you when Horizon has a terrible opening.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

The devs have been very upfront about how its not intended to feel like Doom 3. It is intended to feel like Doom 1, which it does. |
No it doesn't. People are too quick to applaud it and say "it plays like Doom 1!" just because it's fast paced. It plays very little like Doom.

Idk if this is a joke, but no it doesnt
If horizon is overly dramatic,I wouldn't recommend highly story driven games.
Maybe you were just not in the mood or you had too high expectations. Try another day.
I liked Horizon as much as UC4. I just finished The Last Guardian, and although it is tecnically much inferior to Horizon and UC, I thought it was emotionally most engaging. UC4 is a bit too dark for my taste (like Neil Druckman style sinister from TLOU), and Aloys story is amazing, but the character development could be deeper. TLG builds a strong relationship and has a mystery which requires some thought to unravel, very unique style game.
