Hopefully these early third party Switch games sell well enough that support picks up.
Of course, that's mostly down to the devs; if you want your product to sell, you have to make it appealing.

I wouldn't say all four were great. WrestleMania x8 had terrible sound and the collision detection was a little too good (if I remember correctly ). You could punch anybody at any time.
WrestleMania XIX played incredibly well with the best roster probably ever--but the season mode was just a beat em up (again, if I remember correctly)
The Day of Reckoning series might be my favorite wrestling games ever, though. Those games had no right being that damned good! |
Do you recall one of the GC games had a mode where you could win by throwing your opponent out in front of a car? Can't remember which game it was but remember having a ton of games of it vs my mates lol, also the GC was fantastic because you didn't need to spend another 50 to play it 4 player over the ps2 still needing a multitap at the time.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Day of Reckoning only had one Storyline for all the characters and matches went on way too long!

The N64 wrestling games were far superior to their Play Station competition. Den of Geek, in fact, ranks "WWF No Mercy" on N64 as the best wrestling game of all time.
2000 | AKI Corporation | N64
Nearly two decades later, there still hasn’t been a wrestling game that tops No Mercy. AKI was at the top of its game here, crafting a perfectly paced and accessible game with depth that fans are still mastering. Seriously, there are tons of mods out there for gamers looking to include current WWE and NXT superstars on the roster. But even without those mods, No Mercy remains infinitely replayable, with a huge roster, tons of match types, and the deepest create-a-wrestler mode ever made. It’s hard to pin down any one thing that makes No Mercy the best wrestling game ever made, but the developers at Yuke’s would be well-advised to spend some time with it while working on the next WWE game.

No comparison. And the load times on the Play Station games were atrocious. And, I speak as someone who had and played both with friends A LOT. I'm not saying that the Smackdown games on PS1 weren't fun. But, they weren't better looking than the N64 wrestling games by any means.
