Well especially when you look at the fact it took the PS4 almost an entire full year with 49 weeks to reach 1 million units sold in Japan from it's launch. Shows that a console sells the best after a year or two from launch when has a much bigger libary to attract people to buy it and prices are lower. PS4 is definitely beasting in Japan right now in comparison to it's first year, it's certainly achieved a much quicker pace later in it's life cycle in Japan, which the Switch especially if stock is a lot less of an issue in the future should follow suit as well.

Nintendo gets the games that matter in Japan. Sony just get a bunch of small games that don't really matter individually, but add up when they're all present. But they're still not enough to come close to Nintendo.

EDIT: Yes, Sony gets a few big games like FF and DQ now, but not close to Nintendo (the majority of the games that matter in Japan are Ninty 1st party so that would be difficult).

Yeah, and the fact that it's almost reached that in half the time after it's been out for a few years, goes to show in Japan they're more likely to buy the console after it has a good library and then by that time is cheaper. It is the smarter option. 

Which means the switch only really soar from here on out in Japan. 

But but, i wanted Nintendo to go third party so i can buy Zelda BOTW on PS4, this wasn't part of the plan.....

Sometimes yes. Especially when someone claims that cars dominate while not mentioning bike sales.

Ps4 #1 selling console 2 weeks in a row in Japan. Looks like it's dominating now.
