Forums - Gaming Discussion - Crash bandicoot outsells horizon launch week in a couple days UK

Warms my heart to see a mascot platformer rock the sales chart again. Replaying the first now reminds me why I enjoyed it more than Mario 64 back in the day - way more challenging, some real old-timey punishing platforming, and 'finish the level' IMO is superior to 'perform a specific task in the level.' Wondering how many newcomers will never see past The Road to Nowhere...

Wonder if this will help usher in many old faces making a comeback?

Damn, that's great!

I just hope it doesn't become expensive and rare as fuck like GR Remastered... still looking for it at a decent price.

Well, considering the sales, it sounds like there'll be a pretty healthy supply!

Platformers arnt dead. They just need to make good ones.

Great news, will be interesting if they follow suit with Spyro!

You can add Canada #1 to that list, and I helped contribute to that. 🙂

Thsi is was my favourite series of games in the ps1 era and I'm really enjoying playing them again!

There is no better word to describe this performance than insane!

Maybe now people will put some respect on him.

But remasters are cash cabs, linear games suck, nostalgia is overrated, old games have horrible controls.
I guess we're back to modern games suck, old style gameplay is the best.

PS4 pro, XBox One X, vs SNES mini, PS1 remakes. The generational wars have begun!

I wonder if this and Wipeout omega moved some consoles and guaranteed a few extra 200k weeks.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
