So, I just started the Switch 2 edition of Breath of the Wild... And immediately, I can tell the differences.
For starters, it definitely feels smoother and more fluid. You can tell right away that this runs on 60fps as opposed to 30fps on Switch 1. And there's definitely more pixels and a clearer image to showcase how pretty the game looks... but also the problems it had running at points. I don't know if it's because they haven't quite fully optimized it on Switch 2 or if it's just me, but I swear the pop-in of a lot of stuff like grass, bushes, and other objects in the world are A LOT more noticeable, to the point where it's distracting. |
It's just you. The pop-in and draw-in is pretty much the same, although I had the impression that certain noteworthy objects like a Korok platform are a bit earlier visible than before.
Framerate is top notch though. Now not even the Master Sword area has any notable drops, so it's safe to say that the framerate is always stable everywhere else too.
