Over 3.5m backs the earlier claim last week that 3m was shifted in just 24hrs, Switch took a month to hit 4m, Switch 2 is going to hit that in under a week.

I guess this guy was right after all.

What's also impressive is that it launched with only one first party game that people actually wanted. Mario Kart World seems to be the Breath of The Wild to Switch 2 Welcome Tour's 1-2 Switch.

It's hilarious to think people whined on these two titles on the same principle, yet they both manage to at least sell on initially.

Also Welcome Tour is also likely to be the bigger seller of the two due to the lower price point.

If you think about it, the content, etc ... 

The proposition offered by 1-2 Switch I'd argue is worse than what was done with Welcome Tour really. Therefore arguably an improvement, despite the whining

I mean this is kind of an obvious "Releasing this Fall" title. It's likely they haven't pinpointed the exact date because they may have another title they need to schedule in that same period. Maybe deciding which gets the September release, who gets the October one ?
