MarioKart World is too easy. I thought the Time Trail ghosts were easy…until I started playing Grand Prix. You can get a perfect 60 without even doing as much as drifting. :/ Nintendo did almost everything right! They just completely missed the mark in appealing to gamers who want a challenge. 200cc mode is a necessity at this point!

Nintendo allegedly sold 3 million Nintendo Switch 2 units within 24 hours.

Switch 1 sold 2.74 million in its first month.

What is everyone playing? My spouse and I just beat the “campaign” for MKW. It was so fun. I’ve been doing a lot of the free roam activities. It was definitely worth the wait for a new Mario Kart!

Campaign as the Grand Prix?

Playing MKW too.

I hope Nintendo releases an update with fixes for HDR soon. Because as of right now, it looks like hot garbage on my OLED monitor. It is either way too bright or washed out. I know it's not my monitor, because HDR looks absolutely perfect on my PS5 Pro.

Switched to SDR for now, which is a shame. =/

also, the OST in this game is jaw-dropping. Not much original admittedly, though the covers of old music are…wow! I will literally just let the music run for like hours if I need a break from racing.

Case and point.

I still don't know how accurate that is.

The item system in MK World literally is bamboozled as it doesn't know what to give you due to how compact the driving pack in races are the result are races which are essentially warzones that make Double Dash look peaceful.

Okay been playing with my partner who is new to video games. Played a bit of Cyberpunk, Metroid Prime Remastered, Mario Kart World, and Tears of the Kingdom (Switch 2 version.)

Also bought Kunitsu-Gami, Monster Hunter Rise, Bioshock Collection, Endless Ocean Luminous, No Man's Sky, and Fast Fusion.

I will say my favorite of the new experiences is Mario Kart World. As somebody who mostly plays single player games Mario Kart games have become less interesting to me since Mario Kart DS (when I would play with friends in middle school) but World is an amazing game for having such a well developed single player mode.

All that crap people were giving Nintendo for pricing it so high while "only being a Mario Kart game" is unjustified. It definitely is an AAA-level experience, with a lot of polish and effort put into it.

I thought the single player in MKW was fun, but online is really where this game shines.

I’m trying to get as much of the single player content out of the way as I can. (Grand Prix, Knockout Tour, any missions in my way in the overworld.)

If online is as good as you say, then I’m in for one fantastic game!
