Is it too much to hope that Monolith could help out Game Freak?

Yes. Monolith's support studio is probably already working on other projects for Nintendo.

I finished Rayman:Legends, easily one of the top 10 2d platformers. Now I wait.....

Yeah it's most likely for development which is a good thing tbh as it makes open world development easier and quicker when it comes to the creation of towns and cities on the map, this no doubt will be an internal tool much like how Nintendo uses their own engine for most of their games. The most obvious candidates to use this are Zelda and Xenoblade/Monolith's next major project.

Is it too much to hope that Monolith could help out Game Freak?  I haven't bought a Pokemon game in a very long time.  Pokémon Legends: Arceus came the closest to getting me to jump back in to the franchise.  Monolith helping out with world building would likely do it for me.

Brilliant idea!! ^^

Less than 2 weeks left

I'm working from home on June 5th so I'll be going to the midnight launch at my location to pick up my Switch 2.

When Costco opens up, I'll go and buy the following (hopefully I can get all 3)

-Switch 2 Pro Controller
-Switch 2 case+Screen protector
-$100 eshop card for $90 (for Mario Kart World)

I'll get a 1 TB memory card when it gets cheaper later on , probably black friday of this year or sometime next year, I can wait.

I do not understand why anyone would prefer the old render. New DK looks great! I might have to start a thread on this…

It's not just DK. Nintendo finally updated everyone to finally abandon the stale and IMO boring Gamecube era designs I'm esp a fan of ever since Chris took over as Mario, Nintendo made Mario look like in 3D what his SNES era 2D art was. Shorter. Stockier. More round, cute little guy. You first saw it in Wonder, and it continues in Mario Kart World. Even the new Switch avatars reflect it. It's a much needed update to everyone. Some ore more subtle. And hey DK's hair finally looks like a cowlick on his head and not a pile of shit sitting on top of his head.

This one certainly grew on me as I watched the footage of DK Bananza in true ... BUT the DK model they've got for MK World looks weirder than this so that's partly what my impressions were left on for a while.

Also the fact they've barely changed Diddy Kong's design was a good choice.

I was worried they were gonna kill Diddy Kong off because of Sean "Diddy" Combs.

My local HEB has a vending machine with Nintendo toys and they are using the old graphic on the left for it lol.

Shouldn't they update the DK parks at Universal Studios Orlando and Japan with the new DK design? Not Cranky though, he's still got that same disapproving look in DK Bananza.
