Ok, they at least added the quality of life improvements from the 3DS version, but it's still not enough for $60 USD.

Once the next set of sales go for Costco's eshop cards (hopefully) - I'm gonna buy two of them to buy another set of NSO vouchers.

Gonna get DK and Zelda Echoes of Time.

I may only get it because of the easy mode, extra levels and because I want to encourage Nintendo to make more DK stuff.

You know, I don't think the results of this likely cheap remaster work (which is why they call it HD and not Deluxe or Definitive Edition or whatever) isn't gonna determine the future prospects of this franchise.

I'm confused. Do you mean "is gonna determine the future prospects of this franchise" or "isn't"?

As written, isn't. This is not the game that will decide whether or not we will get more DK games in the future.

Considering how Nintendo has treated Donkey Kong until recently I think it might be. -_-

What I want is a brand new DK game. Only considering buying this in case it helps us get one.

It wont. Its just a quick cash-in late in the gen. But you really want it, so you will buy it.
