Sounds cool, and if it's successful it should be in Switch 2 as well.

Its not releasing less than a month from Black Friday (and Holidays) with little to no official details or marketing.
They already said they'll announce it this fiscal year which ends on June 2025.
If anything, it could be exactly like what happened with the Switch
1. Teaser/console name in 2024 (Switch was officially announced on Oct 20th 2016)
2. Press event where it reveals tech specs and other details early 2025 (Switch's information was revealed at a press event in Japan back on January 13th 2017)
3. Official release in Spring 2025 (or Summer 2025) - (Switch was released on March 3rd 2017).

Yeah, obviously they're not doing a stealth launch. I meant the reveal won't come till 2025 if it's not this coming week.

I think they might just skip #1 this time and just announce the press event with Switch 2 in Q1 and launch 2 months after mostly because their hand was forced due to the state of Wii U and them entering the mobile market and a need to confirm they were still in the dedicated hardware business to investors.
Oh yeah 8 years today since NX was announced as the Switch.
