Considering the scope of these projects, I have good doubts that Miyamoto is the be all of decider on the Nintendo side.

But it certainly feels like the DKC park is currently only to be there to reference DK recent history through Retro Studio games. Which make now even more sense when we are gonna have Returns HD release at the beginning of next year.

Maybe the Kremlings will be back in the park at some point through an update but it's also clear that they'll need a presence in the games before being back.

Sad they do not want to represent the series legacy, but it'll change in due time, I'm sure.

I hope the next new one has the Kremlings.

Tired of fighting generic totem and aquatic animal enemies lol

I want them to name the next game: Donkey Kong Country: The Return of the Kremlings

I would go with something more creative, like Donkey Kong Country: Wrath of Rool.

I'm really enjoying LM2. LM is one of my favorite series. Never played 2 because I don't portable game.

LM2 has great art style, great humor and the expected environmental interaction. I'm enjoying it, the mission based setup doesn't bother me. I made it to the 2nd area.

Finally finished Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope. Much better story and gameplay than it's predecessor. ^^

Late to the party but the new Metroid Prime looks incredible, can't believe we finally saw it in action after all these years. In Retro we trust.
New Zelda looks interesting. Now the people who call the playable character Zelda will actually be correct.

Yeah it feels damn good to be getting so many cool games still this late in the Switch's life.

Much as I loved systems like the Wii, the lack of games in their final 12 months or so always stung, so its so nice that we don't have to deal with that any more. Nintendo's decision to unify their development behind a single platform is paying dividends, and I'm here for it.

Made it to the third area of LM2. So far I'm loving the game. Great puzzles and creative environments.

I'll probably get it at some point, but I'd use the voucher or get it when it goes on sale digitally eventually to $40-$50 USD.

I completed all but the last 3 missions on 3DS and played a little ScareScraper. I've played through the GCN original multiple times, and want to replay 3 (the best of the series) in addition to actually playing its multiplayer.

I'd settle for the 3DS remake to be ported to Switch as Luigi's Mansion HD. Or better yet, pull a Metroid Prime and have it be a remaster but with remade graphics.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 48 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Still disappointed about Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, especially how overpriced it is. -_-

Apparently in early 2016, Nintendo partnered with Vicarious Visions to prototype a new 3D DK game that had the core gameplay premise of Sonic with the animated Tarzan movie. You're in a jungle, and you're grinding on vines and it's all about gaining speed momentum and zipping around the jungle. Nintendo loved what Vicarious was working on but after the recent Skylanders failure to reach sales targets at the time, ABK pulled the plug......and we know how the rest of Vicarious Visions history played out.

Another what could've been. Hopefully if Nintendo loved the prototype so much, they moved it to another studio.

The reporting was from DidYouKnowGaming. I'll link the hour long video as well.

Still crazy to think that we are getting DKC Returns back to back across 3 generations (and one extra non-nintendo platform)

Wii - 2010

3DS (WiiU generation) - 2013

Nvidia Shield - 2019

Switch - 2025

At this rate we'll get a 4th version in 2031 on Switch 2.
