So it was a mini-direct afterall. Good stuff for me at least. More games i don't have time to play .
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Bravely Default 2 making all characters and enemies do their actions instantly on their turns is a massive improvement in battle.
Do you guys think there's a chance they release their E3-oriented Direct a little earlier? Like late May, or earlier in June?

Probably after Xenoblade releases, around when E3 would generally take place. No reason they need to change their schedule just cause it was cancelled. Since they moved to doing directs for E3 every year, they're well equipped for this scenario.

Possible, but I think if anything it'd be later.
I'm a tad salty about the fact that, the two games that had the most complete stories out of the Xenoseries, that being Xenoblade 1 and 2, get these unnecessary expansions, while my boy X gets nothing after 5 years.
Mixed feelings.
On the downside, the Direct Mini didn't announce or date any major new games, so their schedule for the rest of the year still looks very weak at this point.
However, after so long in radio silence, just the fact that they're keeping us informed and updated again is a huge breath of fresh air. It was being kept in the dark that was becoming so frustrating, so at least that's over for now.

For me it was decent, nothing special but not terrible, even just 1 new medium tier qst party title with a June/July release as a final announcement would have improved it greatly.

Still nothing for me sadly.
I will say Bravely Default II looks good for those who like that sort of thing, but I just can't enjoy turn-based combat.
If only the Xenoblade Future Connected Add-on were a separate thing like Torna; I'd totally buy it if it was stand-alone.

I told you they had this ND coming a week after Animal Crossing released and I stated it would not include big or year end games (I think that was in a different thread though). Trust me, Curl. You have enough to worry about as it is on a personal level. I'd never tell you something was coming unless I had good reason to say it. Now everything happened pretty much exactly as I said it would happen, right? Then be consoled that a big game/end of year Direct will happen during the summer. Probably around the time E3 was originally planned but given that the even itself was canceled, they have more time to play with. Again, I wouldn't tell you this if I didn't know it was a certainty. |
I didn't see that post (or I've forgotten it) but I believe you.
Even if this Direct didn't have much for me personally, it did alleviate a lot of my frustration simply cos it's just nice to be kept informed in uncertain times.
I look forward with hope to a full General Direct around when E3 would've been then. Fingers crossed for Breath of the Wild 2 and Bayonetta 3...
