I have so many fond memories booting up Skylanders and being met with that screen. That would’ve been from October 2014 through January 2017.

Alright all, I've got a new question: Advance Wars 1+2 Remake or Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave? One game I've had in my backlog for a few years, the other is a franchise I've always wanted to visit. I'm in the mood for a tactics game of this style. I don't love the idea of a 50hr romp through FE, but if reviews and word-of-mouth are strong enough, I could be compelled.

How's the battery holding up on the gamepad? I think mine lasts like 1 or 2 hours at most

Didn't play long enough for it to run out, but it held out for a while. After reports of Wii Us dying en masse due to some defect I was curious if it worked at all, so decided to see. 13 years old now and still kicking.
I generally have good luck with consoles, my 1994 SNES still works.

I'm replaying Xenoblade 2 on the Switch 2. Love the game, but holy moly... those fucking side quests. This game has the worst side quests I've ever seen in mi life. Classic Xeno 2 normal side quest:
1. Some guy wants fertilizer to grow up some vegetables
2. You give him the fertilizer
3. You go rest in an inn in order for the vegetables to grow
4. You come back and the vegetables taste horrible
5. You have to investigate the problem
6. You realize someone is polluting the water nearby
7. You gotta infiltrate some bad guy base in order to stop the pollution
8. Go back to talk to the guy that gave you de quest
9. You give him fertilizer AGAIN
10. Go back to the inn AGAIN
11. Go back to the dude and FINALLY the quest is over
And almost all of them are like this. Whoever designed these deserves jail time...

I don't remember what the problem is, but it can happen if you don't turn on the console every like 5 years or something, so you done good on turning it on.
My Wii U still sits close to the TV, getting hooked up from time to time for the few exclusives it still has. Last time I gave another spin to Star Fox Zero while I was waiting for the new game to drop.
Daughter and I are nerding out on Bubbly Basin lol. Gonna spend at least a dozen hours in beautifying this area!
Shared storage containers among worlds is going to be a god send!
