NatetheHate and Andre from GameXplain claiming the Direct next week will be a Partner Showcase.

Quite a few online will probably be upset that it's a partner showcase, but it feels like Nintendo really wants to nail down that the Switch 2 is just as much a third-party developer system as it is first-party.

Would be a good time to get announcements of Monster Hunter Wilds, Silent Hill f, Metal Gear Solid Delta, etc. I'm most looking forward to Orbitals!

I just find Partner Showcases to be boring compared to general Directs. There isn't usually as much shown in Partner Showcases that I wanna play.

If they are remaking CV, so it would make no sense to release RE5 first even if they finished it first, since RE5 is a direct sequel to CV.

Well the rumors say otherwise because RECV Remake and then RE0 Remake are coming after RE9.

Grats! I hope they do a Switch 2 Update for this!

KH collection rumoured to be getting prepared for a S2 release, claimed to have "all" KH games so if true it's most likely a GKC game.

Edit:

I hope this is true, will multidip!

I just wish they let me access the 3DS levels without having to play the game again, I fucking hate it when they do that.

I already played the game on Wii, just let me play the new stuff without having to slog through shit I already played.

Bowser's Fury got it right, make additional content available from the get go for those of us who played the base game already.

Hey at least the content is still in the game unlike what Square Enix and Atlus did with their ports/remasters missing content....

Hope so! KH 1.5+2.5 being cloud on Switch 1 was ridiculous, they're PS2 games.

Still baffled on why they didnt bother releasing 1.5+2.5 at least on Switch 1 and then 2.8 + 3 on Switch 2.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade debuts with a solid 90MC average. Appears to be the strongest port job of the generation so far! While I won’t personally be purchasing the NS2 Edition (b/c 30fps hurts my eyes), I’m very excited for all those who get to either revisit or experience this game for the first time.

I'll be sure to get this in the future, I finished the game on Steam last year so wont be for another few years since I plan to play Crisis Core Reunion and then Rebirth soon on Steam.

Started playing through FF7 Remake; still only an hour in but so far it's good.

I never experienced the original (turn based gameplay isn't my thing) so this is my first time with one of gaming's classic sagas. Technically the port holds up well, with solid performance and a high level of fidelity.

Anyone else getting it?

I'll be getting the NS2 version of FFVII Remake in the future.

However I recommend getting the original FF7 on Switch , simply because technically...FF7 Remake is a sequel to FF7 (due to some scenes in Remake showcasing events from the original FF7 in its PS1 blocky form to boot lol).

I finished the Switch version of OG FF7 two years ago on my Switch OLED - took me 30 hours thanks to the exp boosts and no encounters QoL features - compare to 65 hours it took me to finish on the original Steam version.

Does Aerith still die?

Yes but not in Remake. It happens in

Rebirth

I'm hoping to play the OG before I get started with the remake of Final Fantasy VII. Hoping to get to that one day soon! (Maybe that could be my project for this weekend... I have already got my Project64 and Dolphin emulators set up and loaded with all the QoL performance hacks/packs/optimizations. I'll look into PS1 maybe Friday.)

If you play on Switch, get it on Switch for the QoL features such as no encounters, full health/mp heal and exp/gil boosts - far better than emulating it.

The Xbox and Playstation versions have the same features - and just today Square Enix announced that the same console version of FF7 on Switch/PS4/XBO will be coming to Steam with the QoL features (free for those who own the original on Steam) - this is great as I will likely be doing my next playthrough of FF7 again on Steam.

I wonder what a Donkey Kong RPG would be like. I thought maybe it would play like Super Mario RPG.

They technically have the character design or the idea of it, since a Donkey Kong like character is in Super Mario RPG lol

Nintendo’s going to announce a shadow-drop of Yoshi Woolly World onto Nintendo Switch during the February Nintendo Direct, mark my words.

Hopefully it has the 3DS content like DKC HD Returns has

Dispatch btw is censored because the is no separate version for Japan which has laws about showing genitals etc... PC games in Japan are not rated which is how the PC version got around it (all console games released that have sensitive content have two versions btw in order to release in Japan), they may do a patch for the west later on but it seems this is to adhere to CERO, PS5 version in Japan released today it seems that's censored as well but is a separate version to the western release. I think what happened here is on Switch they wanted a global launch so did the censored version to get the game out.

Very bad move. There has been a lot of backlash and I've seen a lot getting refunds due to false advertising. The lack of transparency about it has really angered people.

Some people are really passionate about animated tiddies I guess.

While I get that the lack of transparency can be upsetting, the censorship doesn't suddenly make Dispatch a bad game.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

It sounds like the censorship issue with Dispatch was more an issue with AdHoc rather than Nintendo.

Because why would Nintendo allow games a bunch of uncensored M-rated Western games like Cyberpunk, South Park, Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, etc on their platform…

Plus publish some M-rated games themselves like Bayonetta and Duskbloods…

Also consider how some major M rated 3rd party games like Resident Evil Requiem are on the way and will likely be a heavily featured, focused title if the latest rumors of a Partner showcase on the 5th are correct.

(And not to mention all the AI Hentai slop that’s flooded the eShop.)

So why would Nintendo suddenly throw out the red flag now for Dispatch?

What does that game do that ALL those other games I just mentioned don’t where THEY get a pass, but Dispatch doesn’t?

It doesn’t make sense.

GRID Legends is out today on Switch 2

Ahh darn. Partner Showcases are certainly much more exciting during the NS2 gen than NS1, so certainly still worth the watch. I’m curious to see what’s up with Duskbloods, Orbitals, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, CoD, and what other partner projects are coming over— Clair Obscur? Microsoft titles? Lots of games that have yet to make the jump. Should be fun!
