Terminator 2D: No Fate is out today on Switch
Wil need to try that Pragmata demo this weekend. Really intrigued about it's sci-fi elements and see if I can get behind the hacking/shooting mechanics it proposes.
Though first, gotta play more Octopath 0 and Metroid Prime 4 !

Holds up well, Capcom to be fair were already fully prepared because of MH Rise so they already had a version of the RE engine for a hybrid system. |
As long as it's not a streaming only version.

There's actually a boss in Donkey Kong Country 3 that references The Terminator.

Glancing at the calendar….
It looks as though we’ll have a clean slate up until Mario Tennis Fever (unless you’re into third party— then you’ve got FFVIIRemake & RE:Requiem). Good opportunity for me to catch up on my backlog! Might jump back into some 2025 titles; might take advantage of my new gaming PC to do some emulation. Not too sure ATM.
I’m really looking forward to MTFever, Yoshi, Rhythm Heaven, and Splatoon Raiders!

You know, I just thought of a very good idea for a thread: What’s Coming to NS2? (2026 Edition) [Thread]. Keep it updated with first-party and all the heavy-hitting third-party releases coming in CY’26. That way, I won’t have to be searching up hundreds of different resources to remember whats releasing.

For me, I am already looking forward for FF7 and DQ7, Requiem and Crimson Butterfly, and I won't get MTF (that's an interesting acronym) at launch, but am looking forward for Pokopia too, so the first 3 months of the year are well stacked for me.
The only thing that sucks about all these big 3rd party games making their way to Switch 2 is that almost all of them require Game Key Cards - Which completely defeats the purpose of my rule that I had for Switch 1/2 where as long as it was under a certain about of GB, I would buy it digital, but if it was over than I'd buy it physical.
(Ex: Donkey Kong Bananza - 8.5GG, Digital; Metroid Prime 4 - 31.6GB, Physical.)
But there's no point in that rule when it comes to Game Key Cards, because I'll have to download all that storage either way; Which means I have to get a microexpress SD card with plenty of storage space because that 256GB internal space for Switch 2 is simply not going to cut it. And I want to get one with PLENTY of storage (at least 1 TB) but those cost a freaking fortune at the moment (Lexar 1TB microSD express cards for example go for around $200 on Amazon.)

I'm getting System Shock next week, FFR7R in Jan, Resident Evil Requiem and Village in Feb, 007 First Light and Fatal Frame 2 in March, and Pragmata in April.
My backlog has reached ridiculous proportions too, I have like 30+ PS4/5 games waiting in the wings, and I still haven't finished Prime 4 or gotten around to Wizordum on Switch 1.
So much to play, so little time.
Tried out the Pragmata demo albeit the one on Steam, the game feels like a cross between Vanquish and RE4, combat has a unique puzzle element to it thanks to the hacking mechanic which I found to be fun and not too tedious, imo this is one to look out for.
