Zelda TotK was robbed of GotY in 2023. Objectively one of the greatest games ever created, blowing BotW out of the water. I never played BG3, but I do not know how any game could come close to matching TotK.

Same can be said for SMOdyssey not getting second place in 2017. That game should’ve been neck-and-neck with BotW. Another one of the greatest games ever made.

And while we’re at it: Astro’s Rescue Mission was robbed as well!

TOTK is an incredible game, and one of the most technically impressive ever made for the sheer depth and possibilities of its emergent physics system with Fuse and Ultrahand, and how all of it runs with virtually zero bugs or abnormalities, all on a 2015 mobile chipset.

As a game, I did like BOTW a bit more as exploring Hyrule was just more compelling the first time around, and by personal 2023 GOTY was Turbo Overkill for its just insanely nice game feel and style, but TOTK's still one of the best games of its generation in my book.

The Game Awards are full of shit, hence Animal Crossing New Horizons losing to The Last of Us Part II.

Pokopia drops on 3-5-2026. First Nintendo published game to see a GKC release… oomphf! That’s no good.

New trailer is also dropping Thursday. 10min in length. Very curious to see this game in action!

Hmmm. When I first read this I thought maybe Nintendo weren't publishing it and it was similar to the recent Everybody's Golf game. But seems like Nintendo is the publisher. If this isn't a mistake then this didn't last long. First-Party Nintendo Switch 2 Games Won't Use Game-Key Cards

Though the above article is only quoting a Nintendo UK representative. Still seeing a Nintendo published title using a key card is very sad to see. Better mean it's a $40 title or something at least.

Pokémon isn’t first-party. And based on what I have heard, the game costs more than Legend Z-A in Japan… but I would need to double check.

Technically true. The quote was for "Nintendo developed titles". But still as Nintendo is the publisher it will be them that is responsible for distribution of the game, and choosing to have this release on a key card. If it is a full priced release, it's poor. Hopefully this isn't Nintendos way of testing the waters because an extra $10 or so profit on every game sold on a key card instead of an expensive cartridge must sure be attractive. That's like $100m+ for their big titles.

Business wise it makes sense if the opposition and backlash isn't big enough. Over the course of the generation they could save well over a billion by selling people key cards instead of cartridges with how many first party boxed copies they sell.

I am now less excited for this game.

With pikmin 4 getting a switch 2 update which game do you think has the worst switch 2 update?

Is this question insinuating that the Pikmin 4 update is bad? Lock-on having an option to be disabled, the newly added fierce mode, NG+, etc., all make for a *very* much needed update to Pikmin 4. Still waiting for that 4k 60FPS mode though. (Also, Jamboree is by far the worst. Base game doesn’t even get a performance boost; only the new NS2 content.

Also, SMGalaxy Movie looking very fun! Look forward to seeing more. :)

Surprised Switch 2 is getting decent discounts this early but in the UK Very currently have an early Black Friday deal which is very nice.

Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World + Donkey Kong Bananza + Hot Wheels Monster Truck | Very

Switch 2 MKW Bundle with DK Bonanza and a Hot Wheels game for £439. The RRP of the Mario Kart bundle alone at launch was £429 so it's only £10 more than RRP with 2 extra games.
