I would if I was more interested in System Shock, but I'll have to leave that up to others.

Switch 2 is starting to feel like the best first year purchase of any console overall, the next 8 months will be interesting but the fact that so far going all the way up to March next year the are new releases it would mean the first 9 months of Switch 2 have had significant releases.

On this day eight years ago, Super Mario Odyssey was released. And to this day, it continues to be the undisputed champion of platformers!
Many of my fondest memories in gaming come from this game, from the reveal trailer (it was this trailer that convinced me to purchase a Switch *at launch*), the E3 reveal of Cappy, playing the game for the first time (after a long night of marching band), and the subsequent two months during which I packed over 100hr into this game. There are few games that have been as influential on me as Super Mario Odyssey.

Call me crazy, but…
Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment is 44.9 GB on Switch 2.

Other games:
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition - 12.9 GB
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - 11.1 GB pic.twitter.com/YsneS3bpnz
…these file size figures might just be the reason I purchase Hyrule Warriors AoI. Not due to poor optimization, but because this may be a consequence of HQ textures and tons of 4k cutscenes. As a massive fan of Zelda (and especially TotK), this seems like a no brainer.

I can't wait to see what the zelda and mario team is making for the Switch 2. I know the Mario team did the new DK but that was originally made for the Switch 1, so....

Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 edition.
$65 for new purchasers, $5 upgrade for existing. Adds some other stuff but the main new content is this:
Resort Hotel’s Grand Opening: A resort hotel is opening on the pier, and it’s run by Kapp’n’s family. To bring in guests from off the island, you’ll help out by decorating guest rooms and more. Plus, find new furniture and clothing at the souvenir shop and dress up mannequins with outfits that guests can wear.
Seems like a nice update, though I guess we're not getting a brand new AC anytime soon lol.
Edit: wait my bad, most of this stuff is free for the Switch 1 version as well... so the $5 upgrade is mainly just for the resolution boost, mouse controls and camera...

I'm surprised how much is being added in the free update.

I'm not counting on it anymore. It could take until the 2030s and be a launch or launch window title for Switch 2's successor. Mario Kart World was a brilliant launch title for Switch 2 and Animal Crossing could also be a huge launch title. We're long past the days of Super Mario as a predictable launch title, even though on Switch it was debatably still a launch window title as it launched less than 8 months after Switch launched.
