So like any Monday really. They've been officially on that hiring spree since they officialized the word on the new project helmed by Takahashi as the Director. 

Theory wise, I think most of the pre-developpement phase(concepts, arts, story drafts,etc ...) has been done for some time now. It's just the bulk of the actual game is where most of the time will be spent. Which is why sadly, we might not see much of this project before like late 2026 or 2027 altogether.

A demo for Wild Hearts S is out now for Switch 2; the game releases in full on the 25th.

Ports like this can often take a good 12 months so they probably just didn't have a Switch 2 devkit available in time.

Unexpired vouchers can still be redeemed after January 30th at least, so there isn't much hurry there.

I have difficulties to wonder how they will replace such a program or if they'll do so at all ...

Donkey Kong Bananza exists because Yoshiaki Koizumi asked the Mario Odyssey team for a 3D Donkey Kong game.
