Yes PS4 continues it's impressive streak of being the #1 selling home console. This month however it is the overall best selling console aswell. Switch is the #1 selling hybrid this month though it's not got any competition in that class of consoles.

You see nintendo with all these problems getting parts, you saw what happened with wiiu (they are being cautious), they cant flick their fingers and just produce switches out of thin air.

 

But yeah nintendo doesnt need to be number 1 every month. We didnt even get ps4/switch numbers yet

You should see MC's numbers this wed and afterwards (Arms release, I hope they can have some more supply than usual). If they continue to be in the 25k baseline however, then yeah... Switch will be #2.



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It's one thing to be cautious it's another to have little/no confidence in your own product. Even the Wii U still sold 14 million, they have to have known they would need millions of the Switch no matter what so why not manufacture a bit more, you can always slow production down in July/August/Sept. if you have a surplus.
