Simple question: Which version of MonHun XX will sell better: the one on 3DS or Switch? I assume the 3DS-version might go better, but not sure.

Depends on when the next Monster Hunter will release, the popularity of the Switch, and whether or not it gets a Western release.

3DS.MH XX sales are and will be mostly be made up by japanese sales, and there are just so many times you can resell the same game.Not saying that the game will sell bad, but it wont sell the 1.5 millions+ the one in the 3DS did.

MH 5 is the game that has the chance to really break through the west and pull similar numbers as Japan, but thats another discussion entirely.

prob switch, a lot of people own multiple 3ds systems and a lot own a 3ds but don't buy games anymore. The switch owners, which will be quite a lot when this releases, are also likely to own a 3ds.

Anyway my bet is the switch is the hot handheld right now and has all the hype and not too many games so it will sell really well on the system.

I say the 3DS because of how many units are sold verse the Switch. But I think the Switch will get a good amount of games sold on the console.

As of now the 3ds, obviously, simply because theres a bigger base audience. The Switch console needs to sell more to compete.

3DS in the short term, Switch down the stretch. Granted, most MH fans have 3DS already but as the gen goes on, many will be migrating to Switch for the superior experience, as well as future proofing themselves for the inevitable MH5.

3DS unless maybe the Switch version comes to the west.

3ds - I hope switch will do 90% of that.

This. I honestly can't believe people are seriously considering the Switch version selling more, especially when the 3DS version has months of head start.
