This week is unexpected. I think the Switch supply got a boost and ppl are anticipating Mario Kart the next week, perhaps. If Amazon is any indication, PS4 is beating switch the last few days. It may stay that way until something new comes out for Switch like Splatoon 2. Until Scorpio at least, it will be a battle between PS4 and Switch.

Scorpio won't do or change nothing, it will be a machine for enthusiasts and that's it.

I'm glad Zelda is holding up as well as it has, hopefully it'll have a great holiday too.

Those PS4 & XB1 sales in the US look off. (ei. wrong)

PS4 has been in the top20 lists on amazon, and xbox one hasnt been top100 for months.
I seriously doubt theres a week this close, sales wise between the two.

Alright so a guarenteed Switch dominance week.

And the weeks after that will be interesting how good the games can hold up.

Im wondering how Botw and 1-2 Switch will do once the initial burst of MK8D is over.

i think botw and mk8d will have great legs for years, 1-2 switch is a boring game i dont think will have legs above a year.

Unless it gets bundled, which is not unlikely.

Well I wouldn't really call Amazon an always 100% accurate reliable indicator for the entire USA. There weren't any big new releases for either consoles and the numbers overall stay true to what we know from NPD, besides North Americia is Xbox One's best selling region by far, and is only 2 million behind PS4 there.

Even so the numbers look suspect.

We have NPD numbers for April already on NeoGaf, Xbox One is below 130k, Ps4 over 200K.

Can anyone explain to me how the Switch sold 117k in North America, but only 55k in the United States? What happened in the rest of NA?

I know that EB Canada received massive shipment during the week.

wow at the switch, in my small pocket of EU everyone is mad for the console, each stock of it into the 3 stores near me never lasts a day and it seems more popular every other region, that's fantastic.

Nintendo really seem to have a winner on their hands if the coming months go good until the 3rd party and shovelware start to pour onto it to fill the gap, the first party just needs to last long enough basically til the others can get their ports in order for it.
