congrats to Nintendo for only having one thing worth playing at launch vs. PS4's diversified lineup

Breath of the Wild truly is a $360 game.

well that's one way to look at it.  I'll admit I considered buying Switch but then realized that was all I'd play on it for awhile.  Will definitely be adding to that attach rate some day though!

Sure, if you want to isolate it with only physical retail units. Other than that, it's a very foolish statement as it's 2017 for those at home paying attention and your forgetting a 40% digital attach rate compated to 3% for those two games.

Can I have a source for Horizon's sales being 40% digital? I thought that figure came from Ubisoft talking about Wildlands sales or something. From looking around a bit all I've found is Sony saying Horizon sold over 2.6 million its first two weeks. Vgchartz has it at 2.2 million in that time so that leaves about 400k or about 15% digital sales.

Yep, there's no denying Zelda is already past Horizon. Shipped + Digital was 3.7m for March alone. It's probably sitting at 4.5m+ right now. LT it will obviously increase the gap further more... I mean, Zelda is outselling Horizon 3:1 weekly right now on VGC.

That said, I don't know why some people still insist in comparing those 2. Zelda is obviously the better game both critically and commercially. They should just let it go...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It sold over 1 million in the US in March, 646k retail and 400k digitally. We don't know any numbers outside of the US afaik. But if it had a 40% digital ratio WW, that would be historical.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Most of its sales must be in Europe then. Perhaps that NPD statement was where the 40% digital figure came from, but that's only in the US.

Don't we have Japanese digital estimates from Famitsu? We could add that.

You probably skipped the Wii U so you could always get Mario Kart also.

It's sold 238,705 with 51,780 digitally.

From here http://nintendoeverything.com/japans-best-selling-games-of-march-2017/ and here http://nintendoeverything.com/japans-best-selling-games-of-april-2017/

And yeah, Horizon was/is huge in Europe. Probably over half of its sales come from there.

So only about 22% digital in Japan though Japan accounts for a low percentage of its global sales. Really it depends on what its European digital sales are like, I don't think we have that info. We do have the 2.6 million 'first two weeks' figure plus VGC sales data, but that's not exactly reliable.

How did the switch sell 115k in NA if it only sold 55k in the US?

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I mean, I'm no rocket scientist or anything, but I think it's because the Switch sold 60k outside of the US in NA.
