So comparing the sales of only one single country against Global sales doesn't matter? LOL

In the case of the Vita and the Wii U, especially since it'll be counted in the coming weeks, nope - not at all.

DDon't you know? The first law of Nintendodynamics syas that you sales go up as your supply GOES DOWN. a.k.a. the rule of artificial shortages.

Also! in this thread: facts!

You all forgot the hiccups of the Xone launch, since it only was released in 21 markets. The Netherlands was not included. You could ship one in from Germany or your store could do so.

Just look at the first weeks of PS4 from a million to less than 90 back too 900k and back to 300k and than back to 750k. If anything supply was like the Switch way more of an issue than demand.

So does xone suddenly take off on week 20 or something as a result?  because for the first several weeks in OP, It stabilizes at about 65k a week afte week 9.

also! anybody can explain why vita suddenly takes off in week 11?  Some big gamelaunch i presume.

The Xone eventually hits the 80k market. I believe the official release of the Xone and presumably other PAL countries was September 2014, but the baseline in Europe did grow and eventually it started selling 80k a week. Anyway the Switch had a global launch which is pretty rare. Don't forget that Japan PS4 numbers aren't included in this graph till the last week since it released February 2014.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It's because the PS Vita released in North America and Europe in mid Febuary after releasing first in Japan in December.

Seeing how when people compare PS4 to PS2, they don't factor that in, I would say No.

I guess they should have made more units lol.

Switch Week 7 in Japan (no new releases) = 48,694 http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=227968&page=1

PSV Week 7 in Japan (Tales of Innocence R released) = 18,636 http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/40937/Japan/

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Results are interesting. I think that releasing in March makes things interesting for launch comparisons, so while the Switch may overall be VERY successful, comparing it to launches or first holiday seasons may not show it

Switch is already below PS4 and Xbox One? That's not really good imo.

If Switch in March/April with shortages outsold PS4/Xone in Nov/Dec, that would not be good for PS4/Xone.

didn't the ps4 and xone also had shortages?
