Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch wins April NPD (over 280k)

April seemed a sure bet so good job Nintendo.
But that drop is not good. Makes me wonder whether they will take May or not. Should, but less likely now I feel.

If they have enuf shipped units in May, Switch will easily take May also. If we compare with Japan week sales, it seems that Nintendo will ship around 300 k units in May in US again.

I think for May June and July it will be about supply, which is on Nintendo.

I was about to say "280k? that's awful" then I realized it's just for the US o-o

That's pretty damn good. I can see it staying at a steady 100k+ per week.

This. There are lots of people who haven't bought MK8D or BotW due to not having a Switch, so there's room for growth there. With that said, the next really big system seller is Splatoon 2 on July, so they better have enough stock by then, specially in Japan. Minecraft, even if it sells well, it won't move hardware.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

So 280k in US, 220 in Japan, and around 250k for Europe and Resto of world sold in April, so that means Switch sold around 750 in April, with stock issues of course.

Dead on arrival.

Looks like Nintendo really doesn't like stock.
