Populism at its best. Not saying populism is to blame, but it kind of seems like a lot of dictators were (or are) populists (but not vice versa, obviously). Feel free to vote for populists, people, but please, please keep this possibility in mind when deciding whether your candidate really is trustworthy. They have a supreme leader and extreme control over media and politics (as in no opposite parties). you'll notice a trend of corruption in ANY countries where they either do not have rules to limit the length of term of a leader OR a leader somehow magically entirely ignores said rules to limit their terms
