Because he use the 'look how great I am and what I did for you' strategy but don't talk about the negatives. Basically you spend a lot of money on building things make it more modern and people will respect you for doing so...the fact that it is not paid and the next generations will have to..Well problems for later...basically the financial problems/unemploment issues are created by the west who hate how great Turkey is.
