PS4 has more games this year, that's for sure, I'd be worried about it if that wasn't the case. The important thing is what you are left with when you depure those lists to fit your taste, in my case and taking away games I can play in other consoles I already own it would be something like this:

PS4:
Nier Automata
Ni-Oh
Gravity Rush 2
Tales of Berseria
Tekken 7
Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster
Dragon Quest IX (japan)

Switch:
Super Bomberman R
Arms
Splatoon 2
Mario Odyssey
Dragon Quest XI (japan

You're right. You play only japanese games, is that right :) ? I know that more developers / publisher support the PS4. The good thing is, the switch is in her first year - It can only get better for me with the Switch someday. I expect many new announcements for both consoles. But as the other user already said ... the lifetime is short for all games :) When I was young, I wasted my time with mini&small games. Today I only buy AAA-games or games with strong quality and effort. Because life does not go infinitely :) Its a personally opinion. You know...because you like Japanese games - I think - a great story with gameplay is important to you. For me too incl. Interesting characters. Thanks for your thoughts :) And DQ XI in japan for switch coming later, right? Otherwise, I would have noted it for summer (Switch). I hope Tekken 7 has such a great story as Tekken 4 and 5 :) Is the chance big ? i saw the first trailer and think yes.

More or less, yes. I prefer japanese games, but when speaking of gameplay, turn-based JRPGs would be my favourite (hence the inclusion of Monster Hunter Stories instead on Monster Hunter XX in my 3DS list) and the main reason for me to buy Playstation consoles. I don't exactly agree with the AAA part of your comment though, I would be more than happy to buy a PS4 if instead of games like Horizon:Zero Dawn there were more AA games like the old Wild Arms and Arc the Lad on it. The lack of new entries for those series, plus Suikoden, Lunar, SMT, Growlanser, Grandia, Breath of Fire and a good number of others is the reason why I disliked my PS3. Also due to that, PS4 is so far the only Sony console that I haven't bought, and it doesn't look like that will change in the near future .

Oh, and it never really makes sense to compare the line-up of a Nintendo system to a PlayStation system or really any other system for that matter because Nintendo has such a specific fanbase.

A system could get 100 90+ scoring games a year and it wouldn't matter because they aren't Nintendo games
. Which isn't a dig, mind you, it's just that hardcore Nintendo fans like a very specific type of game.

You know that this can work both ways, right? People dismissing a console with many high valuable exclusives because they aren't available in their console of choice, to even get to the point of trying to find every single lame excuse to portray your favorite system as the best, when in reality this all come down to their preferences and not something that you can objectively measure? (I don't know why, but this look way familiar...)

By the way, generalizations like this is what drive down the level of a discussion (not in this thread case for obvious reasons). It's not like the people that buy GTA V, Fifa and Cod in droves have such a diverse taste in opposite to Nintendo fans.

We reap what we sow

i think people need to stop giving a pass at nintendo because they dont extend the same courtesy to the other two. Even if zelda is amazing, mario a guess will be, splatton (didn't like but sure will be) kart (well it's kart) are all great games (it is again a mario, a Zelda, a mario kart, and sure will have a Smash), it s too little while with the Ps4 and xbox with 6 or 7 launch tittle or more; after 2 month, people started to say there is a lack of games.

Well, to be fair, we did have a Metacritic masturbation thread the other day trumpeting the game-changing appearance of Shovel Knight on the Switch.  It wasn't about the Switch having some really good games, it was just a "HAHA WE HAVE METACRITIC BRAGGING RIGHTS LOL" thread, as though plus/minus a few meta-points has some kind of absolute meaning.

The reason I bring that up is that the 180 some people do between similar threads is pretty amusing.  Comments like, "wow, X-System is really killing the competition," turn into, "it's not fair that you compare them like that."

It's always a bit fun to watch the rationalizations churn around like underwear on a spin-cycle.

Talk about insecure with their purchase lol.

One of the worst comparison threads ever.

What are you even talking about?

You are the one always making razionalizations to be against everything Nintendo related, you act like a neutral person when you are nothing like that at all and everyone knows it, just look the mental gimnastics you are doing here to find something to shit about Nintendo fans when in this case the OP is being so damn obviously biased that there is no room for doubt, is just embarrassing.

No one has talked about the poll yet, it's much worse than the op lol

For its first year, NS line up isn't too bad. I'm sure they will announce more games at E3.

well, the first year of a console is always quieter

as for the usual super-nintendo fans with claims of PS4 owners being scared of Switch when it's launch isn't as big and it's 56m behind, or saying some best place to play narrative is crumbling when PS4 has so many games at this point and Switch has two worth playing....

well it's just fucking embarrassing really. a bit of success at last really goes to some people's head

If you're going to make comparison threads, put the effort in to research what each platform has available.

Furthermore, don't add stupid polls to your thread. Make them relevant and not insulting.

Locking.
