games, games and games. since we all know the upcoming ones until the end of the year. I wanted to hear more about a bit of 2018 games in development. and if there are any big surprise for the upcoming holiday lineup.

I'm more than OK with this. Yes, there is a certain electricity that comes with a live, in-person event. But there's also a lot of pomp and circumstance, which is a big turnoff for me.
Fantastic! I find press conferences to be so boring, Nintendo's E3 Directs are far more fast paced and enjoyable, I hope this year will succeed Nintendo's E3 2014 Direct. I hope they've got something like those Robot Chicken Sketches planned.
not doing an E3 conference. It's over guys. They have no faith in the Switch

You're not mistaken and that's exactly it, The Wii U did get an E3 conference but still sold terribly before the next E3. Meanwhile, 3DS still sold well without em and now the Switch is too. |

3DS was part of same conferences like Wii U, and 3DS sold great and still selling great. Switch also didn't had E3 hype and doing great. |
Nintendo is the king of the handheld market. It has no direct competition to fight with for sales. It doesn't really need to market their products in that market. E3 is more about home consoles and switch is a part of it. It is in nintendo's best interest to pitch their hardware as strongly as they can to gamers and casuals. Everyone knows that nintendo home consoles are front loaded. We'll see how well the switch sells after it hits 15 to 20 mil. The real question is it gonna sell like a nintendo handheld or a nintendo home console. We'll see.

Actually Vita was competition and 3DS destroyed it. That really doesn't matter, point is that Nintendo E3s are not reason why Wii U failed.
This works for me. I've definitely enjoyed the DD format more. I think you get better quality information with DD + the treehouse sessions.
Good they're long winded, ND and a week of Treehouse has been a better combination so far for them.

They will be attending E3 as usual. Just because we don't hear 20 random dudes screaming and clapping doesn't mean "there's no hype".
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
