Well it is pushed to 2018 and beyond at this point like KH3 I doubt it releases on PS4 at all.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Doubtful. Id see a Scorpio version is more likely. Would be nice on Switch.

I want it announced anyway, at least that way S-E likely could port other FF games and the original FF7 to Switch, which I would like to see also. Would be a great time suck for road trips.
A full line of FF7 Amiibo would be awesome too as Nintendo's pretty much running out of characters to make Amiibo from.
I'm disappointed of the anti-Nintendo trolls on this site. Come on, at least one of them would have linked this as the Switch version:

The movie-fication of games and focus on realism has really taken a toll on gamers creativity...
“Simple minds have always confused great honesty with great rudeness.” - Sherlock Holmes, Elementary (2013).
"Did you guys expected some actual rational fact-based reasoning? ...you should already know I'm all about BS and fraudulence." - FunFan, VGchartz (2016)
I think it's nearly impossible because the game it's PS4 first so the marketing is in SONY hands due to a partnership. Plus Tetsuya Nomura said that the game will push PS4 beyond it's limits. How a game optimized for push PS4 at full capacity will run on Switch? FFXV can't run on Switch, imagine a new FF that will push PS4 even further. I think that after a year or so it will come to PC as the original one and stop. Square is dropping on Xbox One so i don't think it will come out there.
Snake Pass running on Unreal Engine 4 scales very nicely between PS4 and Switch. And before people say "yeah but that's a cartoony game it's not very demanding" .... apparently it is. The PS4 can't even run it at 1080p (it runs at a custom res just below 900p), but it's perfectly playable on the Switch even in HH mode. Even a high end card like the 980ti can't run Snake Pass at 60 fps at 1440p, PS4 Pro can do 60 fps but only at 1080p.
Unreal Engine 4 could make a big difference here that engine plays very nice with Nvidia's Tegra X1.
Well it's definitely possible and actual not huge surprise, SQ recently talked about their plans for Switch support, and that actually make total sense, FF is still strong in Japan and Switch will be huge in Japan and it will offer handheld play compared to PS4 version of game.
FF VII RE use UE4 that is very scalable, and Switch also supports UE4 and it's very easy to work it.
| Turkish said: Biggest Switch card size is 32GB apparently, I dont think FF7R will fit on that, I expect it's gonna max out the 50GB of the Bluray. Its not impossible though, we may see 1 year exclusivity on the PS4 and then SE releases it on as many platforms as possible. I also think FF7R Part 1 is gonna be a cross platform title with PS5, just to have the complete package on that system. |
Switch carts probably use compression. I thought it was being released in episodes as well.
Eitherway Switch would be a good fit for anything Final Fantasy given Japan.

Doubtful but it would be fun as hell if it was true, this is VG chartz after all.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
This notion that "Because Cloud is in Smash" means FF7R will be on Switch is just wishful thinking. If that's suppose to be true, then why is there no Metal Gear games for the past decade on Nintendo when Smash has Solid Snake?
