PS1 and PS2. No contest.

For software, 360. I have tons of notable games on it.

The hardware, Wii U. A used Wii U is expensive.

My PS3 fat 80gb is still going strong and it's my most played console, so it's precious to me.

I replaced my PS4 with a pro and I've gone through so many PS2s it barely matters. My Dreamcast has also stuck with me for a long time, it even went through a little surgery.

It's not a popular opinion, but I'd go with my Wii. Simply put, my Wii is my all-in-one.

My favorite system is the Gamecube, but my Wii can play all my fave Gamecube games and my fave Wii games. Plus, I have so many retro games installed on the device! Not to mention, the Gamecube and Wii library contain almost all my favorite games.

Edit: I'd go with my Switch as well, because it's new and not easy to get.

SNES and 360 for me

if I had to pick only ONE console to hold onto permanently, it would be the SNES

the Donkey Kong Country series (1-3) are my favorite games of all time and nothing holds a candle to them. I would argue when throwing them in regularly to this day that that still are superior platformers to anything released after or before, and are masterclasses in terms of overworld for selecting levels. They also looks great to this day, they look better than anything 2D (I know they achieved the false 3D trick on them but still) on the N64. Granted there weren't a lot of 2D games on 64, but still

runner up maybe Gamecube

Can I say PC?

Can't really say any console has that much value to me. They're all easily replaceable, and many of them are pretty cheap to replace too!

if PC is allowed then I feel like that would win for many but I'm not sure if its supposed to be an option haha

Right now the ps4 pro followed by the ps3. I've never been so satisfied with gaming as I am now.
