You have to assume they are isolated cases because this is going to impact sales greatly in the long term if more people experience problems like this. Have any of you had troubles like this?

The PS5 Exists.

The variety of different issues shown in that video is stunning.
But equally I have to assume that these are very isolated instances for now.
Never was there a single system as broken as the Xbox 360 in the history of console gaming, yet it still managed to do almost 90 million. If the support will come, gamers will flock to it
They only need games.

of course it did 90 million, people had to buy it at least twice ^^
I know I had to.
That's pretty much the same for ever new system launch. A few dozen instances on a few million of units sold. Hence why there are only youtube videos and not wide scale outrage.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
Every single system has hardware issues at launch. If these were widespread or common issues we'd have another Joy-Con-gate.
Ive had zero problems, thank god. Ive also only used my switch in TV mode with a pro controller though.

I bought five!
Two as gifts. Three for me (one broke, though...).
Probably not that widespread, but still reason(s) enough to hold off on an entertainment product that costs a lot of money. This is one of the many reasons I never buy any console in its first year, regardless of manufacturer.
All new consoles have issues. This is nothing new.
