Forums - Gaming Discussion - Skyrim and Fallout PS4 Mod Restrictions Justified???

I think you're getting caught up in the wording. In Layman's terms, what you're envisioning as a "mod" is actually often a series of system changes that are packaged as one "mod". That is, one mode could actually be making say, 50 system changes at once. I think the limit actually refers to the number system changes allowed.

Uh, no. Not when the mods aren't nearly as restricted on other platforms.

If you're worried about performance, might as well ban mods altogether.

I think that these restrictions are justified, yeah. They are really geared towards helping the consumer more than anything and as others have pointed out, the number of the limit itself is reeeeeally quite high anyway. I'm more surprised to see the substantial difference in number between the XBone and PS4 versions =o

Why throw the baby out with the bath water? That's like saying we should ban all cars from the road just because it's illegal to drive as fast as you want. If mods can be added to a system and the results be reasonable, why shouldn't they be allowed to be added? Just because not all mods are acceptable doesn't mean that the ones that are shouldn't be allowed.

100+ mods is an astronomical number to have active at the same time.

150 mods?

Does anyone actually ever have that many active at a time. I feel like the most I ever came close as like 50. And that included a ton of pointless ones that I could have removed, just didn't bother to. I mean you use maybe 20 to get all the big things, graphics, fps, ui overhauls, ect, quests, new followers... Maybe you reach 50 mods with all that and that is stretching.

Then what 100+ skimpy armor mods? What do you have that you have 150+

Most who have that many will have something like 5 immersion mods, 5 combat mods, 40 graphics enhancement mods and 100 softcore porn mods.

Oh.  So that explains why the PS4 version is only limited to 100 (no external sources.)

Haha, yeah, remember a few years back when a study revealed that PS owners browsed by far the most porn? It was obvious all along!

I play on PC and I have maybe 20 mods active. Who the hell runs 100 mods or more?

I have played Skyrim with 100+ graphics mods and 50+ misc mods on p.c. The most I had running was 164 mods at once.

150 mods.... I don't ever see myself using that many mods at the same time.
