No reason why they can't innovate by actually making videogames. I think lately it's been too much about what a controller can do, and not much on what their games can do. In my opinion.

Again the problem is on nintendo netcode. I could play overwatch just fine in most public wifi, but not most of nintendo games. Also there are many other instances where you need a browser. If you're living in campus, hotel, or if you have to stay overnight on an airport. It baffles me when people think everyone else is having the same lifestyle as them.

You dont like sub fee, but you also ignore nswitch sub fee and the extra cost you dished out for your phone. Oxymoron much? And are you seriously gon use resource as an argument for the lack of voice chat?

And lets talk abt this mobile phone chtatfunctionality. How are you gon hear the voice chat when you're playing in console mode with loud noises coming fron your awesome sound sytem? How are you gon use the chat in public places while also keeping your hands on switch and listening to the game sound?

You knw what if we're gon keep using mobile phone as an excuse, i think nintendo should just dump that switch screen. Every mobile phone has a beautiful screen so switch defly doesnt need that. Or perhaps switch should also dump that controller cos you can use mobile phone touch screen as a controller nowadays.

I GET IT NOW. Switch must be the precursor step before nintendo go full mobile.

I haven't ignored any sub fees. I don't like the fee for online with Switch, but as it seems to cost somewhere from one-half to one-third what Sony and MS charge, it's expected that it won't be as robust. Or vice-versa, whatever. As for phone data, I don't have a smartphone. I have an iPod touch. Discord works just fine with a wifi connection and I don't pay for a data plan.

Your questions are incomprehensible to me. I cannot even conceive of trying to play online multiplayer games with voice chat "in a public place."

None of your concerns have altered the fundamentals of my position. Whatever its flaws, Switch is designed almost exclusively to play video games. Extraneous functions such as party chat and video streaming were not given priority because most households already contain several devices that fill those roles.

Pretty sure I have connected consoles to college campus wifi in the past without going through the browser but I may be mistaken. I'm sure they will find a solution if it presents a problem, that would be a pretty big oversight.

So basically he wants another PS/Xbox clone on market, no thank you.

Should Nintendo just stop being Nintendo and be Sony instead?

No. There simply is not enough room in the marketplace for three identical products of this stature. We need something different, good or bad.

Nintendo should simply stop making consoles. As should Sony and MS.

They tried that with the gamecube.. Look how that turned out. Yeah the controller and console were funky looking but from a practical standpoint it was a traditional console.

I don't see why many seem to think Its be wise for Nintendo to enter the already crowded red ocean that Sony and MS occupy and severely outrun Nintendo in horsepower and deep pockets.

Nintendo thrives best when they go their own way (NES, Wii, DS), not too mention it's a much smarter business move.

Besides.. Don't people WANT a console that's a little different, w/different types of games? Rather than having all three the more or less the same catering to the same markets?

Yeah, because the other consoles today aren't already boring enough.

A PC can be anything you want. You can make it as un-ewww as you like.
