I don't think they'd put the entire shipment up as available to pre-order.
It will be difficult to get one though.

Give me one of those. I'll pay you the price for that one. One less console to worry about
Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

I'm confused. You said they will ship 2 million but we don't know how many are allotted for shipment? Didn't you just say the figure is 2 million? |
Sorry, allotted for pre-order.

And your boss can fire you for it. Too many people confuse consequences with cencorship. If you're going to talk shit you're going to have to deal with the fallout. Geralt made threads bashing Nintendo in general and the Switch in particular several times now, no matter how 'subtle' he may go about it. Miguel_Zorro made him face consequences for that behaviour. He even left the threat up and open. No one is getting cencored here. |
You do realize, we were not dicussing the issue of Geralt, but the fact that it's not illegal to call your boss a cunt.

There is something called freedom of speech that this site user to brag about having. But this trend of censorship is growing slowly yet steadily. I understand there are rules to keep things civil and reasonable. But banning someone to even make posts about something is certainly not granting people the freedom of speech |
Everybody has free speech as in you're free to say what you like. But you will get punished for saying some words (so it's not really free speech) like if you call your boss a c*nt, you are free to say it but you would be punished. There is definatly no free speech on pretty much most if not all websites and on this one people getted banned and moderated all the time( i rarely comment on this site now as i get moderated or banned (once for giving a 1 word reply, they said it was too short). The only freedom of speech is if you talk to yourself. + Easy 2 mill in the 1st month you fucking slaag, Now i'll just wait for the moderators

You do realise this is basically censorship right? If he trolls just lock and/or ban him. But don't shut people up because you don't like his threads. |
You do realize that is exactly what was done, don't you? The op was in fact trolling by creating spaming the forums with multiple versions of the same thread. He was banned for it, which is in line with what even you said should be done for trolling. The thread itself is still open, so no, that's not censorship. He wasn't banned for making one thread, but for trolling with multiple versions of it.

It's fair to say that the launch would be a failure if pre-orders were the only sales given the marketing push Nintendo has been paying for to raise consumer awareness.
You don't pump a new product line only to have nothing but rain checks at retail on launch.
Limited supply for the floor would arguably be the best situation; I'm just not sure retail outlets will bother putting stock in the locked displays as they will likely cycle through whatever inventory they have before they get the chance.
2 million are all ready sold and it hasn't even launched yet lol.

The pre-sale allotments came and went instantly at least. If Nintendo allotted every unit on launch for pre-sale only, that would be a pretty terrible launch.
If they haven't withheld a percentage of the initial run for "first come, first serve" at retail, people will have legitimate reason to downgrade the launch.
Either way, if supplies at that pinched, it will mean fun ("fun" being relative) times checking retailers for stock regularly and unfortunately, a sizeable portion of inventory ending up being flipped on Ebay.
