Forums - Nintendo - Do we know which version of Skyrim is coming to Switch?

I've played about 60 hours of TW3, and I haven't found a single glitch or bug. I got bored of it because of repetitive gameplay mechanics though XD. Tbh, the only open world games I've enjoyed recently were Xenoblade and GTAV. The rest of them were... meh.

Xenoblade isn't any less repetitive than The Witcher 3.

If you mean the video, no, no it does not look like the original version.  It looks like the Special Edition with tweaks.  And don't try and argue this, I've stared at every permutation of that game long enough to know the difference.

Wow, talk about being aggressive.

Well I'm getting tired of this argument over what is, in terms of the videos shown, an objective fact.  If you believe the trailers are false, state that.  But don't try and say the videos show something they objectively don't.  The lighting, atmospheric effects, image quality features, folliage density, and draw distances of objects are all in line with the Special Edition.

And I've been pointing this out for *months*.  As have others and there are video comparisons that show the difference.  And yet this objectively, demonstrably false statement keeps being brought up.

It's going to be the PS3 version. Nintendo needs to make sure they can produce adequate and noteworthy IPs for their box, because 3rd parties aren't doing shit until the Switch proves otherwise.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

The Switch version shown if you believe trailers is identitical to the SE. I'm not sure why that's so hard to believe...

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

It's definitely the Special Edition, as it will contain every DLC and a few technical improvements, but I doubt it will be on par with current gen. (even though the current gen version isn't very demanding either)

Probably it's own "special" version.....can't be the SE because I doubt the Switch can handle mods

Mods can run on PCs with lesser specs than the Switch.

Yeah, but Mods are actually unsigned code from different people that can run inside the game - something console platform holders are usually not very happy about, as this could be exploited to run pirated games and homebrew.

I guess I had bad luck, then? Or some instalation problem, I dunno. But all those glitches broke any possible immersion in the game. Still, I always give Bethesda a chance, but I always find their games booooring as hell, so I could live without properly trying Skyrim. I tried it again with Fallout 4. I had a weird sound glitch, voices sounded low-quality on my PS4. No bugs apart from that. But I also found the game... again, boring. I don't intend to buy Skyrim on Switch, that's for sure, but it's nice to have the choice for all the people who enjoy Bethesda games.

fuck bro, never play the witcher 3

Rule number one: Never buy a game at launch. Unless it's made by Naughty Dog or some japanese developer. Then you're pretty safe.

Maybe liké most multiplatforms games on Switch from 3rd party itll bé thé Old génération version

What games are old generation ones? I can only think of Skyrim.

well there are a couple of multiplat games that are still on last gen consoles.
FIFA 18
Minecraft
Minecraft Story Mode
Skylanders Imaginators
LEGO City Undercover (WiiU)
NBA 2k18
Dragon Quest X
etc.

I doubt most of these will use the old gen version, but at least FIFA 18 seems to do just that.

Hmm, let's wait and see if the real game performance is not poor

Thats not at all how mods work for Skyrim or any Bethesda game since 2003.  They cannot be used to pirate the game or otherwise do illegal things.
