1,847,754 sales as of December 10th, with an additional 280k in the US in the week of December 17th. With the way GOW4 is tracking, it is certainly going to hit 2.5 million at retail by the end of the year, and maybe even close to 3 million. With digital, that puts it around 4 million. That puts it ahead of the original GOW, and within striking distance of GOW 2 and even Halo 5. If the franchise can have good legs in the following year, it may have a chance at bringing a fight to Halo! Not trying to get ahead of myself, but definently very exciting, and a surprising turnaround from what we saw at its launch.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Well it is part of the biggest bundle MS currently has

Plus your using VGChartz software numbers, so you know

It is probably selling pretty well regardless, but I expect the franchise to be down significantly when all is said and done

Is it tho? Gears 1, 2 and 3 all sold over 6m not counting digital sales. 1.80 is not a bad number at all, but for that particular franchise it sounds very low.

Bundles though. Colossus failure compared to the original trilogy. Both in sales and quality.

The sequel they are setting up sounds abysmal. Gears forums hate it. Just like Halo 5 its a total fuckup. Needs to be rebooted.

Gears 1-3(especially 1n 2) had very very low digital. Probably less than 5%.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Um ? Gears 4 was great. Halo 5 had the best multiplayer in the series. Campaign was trash though.

General consciousness of long time fans is an absolute NO to the direction both Halo and Gears have taken.

Gears 4 is awesome. Best gears since 2 for me. The combat systems have evolved well and the campaign was short but satisfying. I'm looking forward to Gears 5. Horde is a beast with the class system. I think that Gears 4 is probably everything I would have wanted in a Gears game. Definitely the most polished of the franchise for me.

Can't speak for Halo, but Gears 4 is great. The only negative for me is all the microtransactions and the the ending for the campaign was pretty shit.

Halo 5 is not that bad of a game either. And the gameplay mechanic is top notch as well.
